We have both. It doesn't cost me any extra to have a land line because of the cable/phone/internet package.

I have no cell, and we use VOIP for our home number. DH has a work cell, but he only uses it for work.

I'm not one to need to be in contact at all times with everyone.

All I have is a cell phone and I use it as my business phone as well.

We just have cells, the landline was only called by telemarketers and the MIL, so we dropped it, saved us about $20/month even with the package we had. I also have a work cell that I use for work purposes...

i have both. i have a package also..tv/phone/internet. it was the same price if i didn't add it on....so, i like to have the home phone to be able to give to people that i don't want calling and bugging me at any time of the day, and my cell service kind of sucks at this house for some reason. so, I keep it for that, but I rarely use it.

I have a cell only... I haven't had a land line in over seven years!

we have both. I was living in NYC during that bad black out a few years back. There was nothing more frustrating than your cell phone dying while you are trying to call family to let them know you are ok. We have an old fashioned plug into the wall phone.

We have both land line tied to the internet (so most likely voip). Also cell phones that are not great all the time in the house but we don't want to give our cell phone # to anyone so that is why we have the land line.

I only have cell phones and they are currently not working all the time due to the hurricane! It has actually been a good thing because I am getting so much more work done as I am not interrupted every 12 seconds with phone calls! I just emailed everyone and told them to email me over the next 5 days.

And for faxing I use efax. I send and receive all faxes through email - easy peasy!

I actually use both a lot. My land line at home and my cell the rest of the time
