Hello -

I tested positive on Sunday, but yesterday (Wednesday) I had brown spotting at first, only when I wiped. Then, as the day progressed, I experienced cramps and eventually led to red bleeding - almost like a period. I tested again this morning and the line was darker, albeit still faint. I believe I probably had a chemical pregnancy.

Can anyone tell me how long it will take for the pregnancy hormone disappear? How many days should I wait before testing again to make sure that's what happened? It's no good to go to my doctor - they couldn't do anything for me anyway and I never had a prenatal visit in the first place or had any blood tests.

I really suggest going to your doctor. Usually a chemical pregnancy your tests would not continue to get darker. There are some women who spot/bleed throughout their pregnancy. But please call your doctor and get checked out.

I agree with Katie! Go see your doctor. You never know, everything could still be okay!

I agree, go see your doc, explain to them when you call that you tested positive and are experiencing some bleeding, like a pd. I had very heavy bleeding with DD because I had a clot and she is a healthy 2.5 yo...with both of my losses the bleeding was more like spotting (strange, right?!) You just never know.

KUP!

Agree call your doctor. If you are bleeding your test should not get darker.
And it is good to get it in their records.

There have been tons of ladies on here who have bled with their pregnancies. Don't trust a HPT, go to your doctor. You could be pregnant still, or even worse, you can have an eptopic. When in doubt GO TO YOUR DOCTOR.
