So...I know I only drop in occasionally. I had a miscarriage in Dec. had to have a D and C. Got pregnant again in April. Had healthy heartbeat at 8 weeks...and at 11 1/2 weeks lost that baby. Had a d and c July 12. Had 1st AF on August 10. 17 days later started AF again. (I'm hoping just wonky from miscarriage) Anyway...long story short. I bought The First Response Unmistakable Yes/No Digital Ovulation Test today on CD 6. I read the instructions it says you have to start it on CD 5. Has anybody went ahead and used them? Should I wait? Go buy new ones? I'm so desperate to try this month. Thanks in advance. And I really do apologize for just dropping in every once in a while. Wyatt and Nattie do NOT like it if I'm on the computer not paying attention to them.

Day 5 is kind of early. If you have an idea which day you ovulate, I would start three days before that to save yourself some money. I usually waited until day 11 or 12.

I agree, take the day you think you are going to ovulate and test 3 or 4 days before hand, how many sticks are in the pack? I used a digital and almost missed my "O" because I started too soon, I caught it the day before I ran out!

There is 20 in the pack. It states in the instructions start on day 5. And if you don't start on day 5 to skip this month. I went ahead and used it. I figure what's the worse that will happen right?

They tell you to start on day 5 to cover their butts. It certainly doesn't hurt to start early, but there's no way you're going to ovulate on day 5 unless you have crazy short cycles. I was only mentioning it so you could save some money.

holy crud Amanda, I just rejoined TTCAL yesterday and out of nowhere you post too! How's everything going??? We need some pics of Mr Wyatt & Miss Natalie (when you get time, of course )

I haven't used those OPKs, but I'm using Clear Blue Easy OPK (gives a little happy smiley baby face when surge happens) and they didn't require me to start on any specific day...just in case you get desperate enough to buy a different type

Good luck TTC this month, hope you can swing by again - I miss you!!

I use these and they work amazing! Haven't had any problems with them and they are cheap Amazon.com: Wondfo One Step Ovulation (LH) Test Strips, 50-Count: Health & Personal Care

I don't know about the First Response Digi OPK's but the line kind do not work. In fact they are the worst opk's out there. Just horrible. I can't tell you the times I got false positives and false negatives with them.

My favorites were the kind Katie posted above and the Clearblue Easy smiley digi's.

And don't ever apologize about not posting... Once family always family here

Lara!!! I know! I think it's a sign! Ask Sam about my crazy sign facebook message to her Now I know everything will be okay

I went ahead and started using them...I will say I would not suggest them to anybody. I wanted more than 7 because I typically freak out and pee on them 2 times a day sometimes...so I end up running out and spending another $40.
