A little bit about me since I'm new to the group. Found out I was pg on July 24th and then started spotting Aug 13th. I read that it could be normal to spot while pg and since my first appt was on the 15th I waited. The Dr did an u/s and it didn't look good. The sack wasn't showing as big as it should at how many weeks I though I was. So after some Hcg testing and a more in depth u/s it was determined that it was not a viable pregnancy. Had a D & C on Aug 23rd with very minimal bleeding. Because of my age (41 on Sept 12) I didn't want to wait for a natural m/c (or deal with the physical pain).

Sooo my question is, my cycles have always been erratic. Has anyone had they're cycle regulate itself after a m/c? Are there any supplements I can take to regulate my cycle. I'm sure this is one issue why it's taking us so long to conceive. I also worry that because this pregnancy occured while I was on Clomid that it might have had something to do with the m/c.

Any information is appreciated

I had a d and c on July 12. (minimal bleeding) Started AF August 10th. Then started AF again on August 27th. I've had an issue like this with my previous miscarriage/d and c. Called the dr. and she explained that it was normal to have irregular cycles afterwards. I don't know of anything to help regulate...I would love to know myself.

With my first loss I went right back to my normal cycle, as if I had never been pg or had any issues. With this one, I am still waiting to see if that happens, but I know it's possible and have heard it from others as well - I had a D&E both times, not a D&C, but they are essentially the same procedure. Not sure of anything to regulate your body.

Sorry about your loss and welcome to the board!

i'm so sorry for your loss

I had a D&C with my m/c...it took 47 days for AF to return (blah) but after that first wonky cycle it actually became more standard (length-wise) than it had been prior to the m/c. Prior to getting pregnant my cycles were all over the place (jumping around from 26 days to 42 days) and afterwards i think they were ranging 29-32 days. I hope your's return to normal quickly and with any luck maybe even become more regular. HUGS

((HUGS)) I am so very sorry for your loss! As for regulating your cycle make sure you continue to take your prenatal vitamin, make sure your following up with your doctor and keeping them in the loop as to when your ovulating (if you are) and how long your LP is. If things are really wonky they can try you on meds to help you ovulate as well as doing BT to check your hormone levels.
