Hi Girls,
We got back from our vacation late last night. Within an hour of getting home, the spotting I had been having all this past week turned to something more. I ended up spending 2.5 hours at the family medicine dr. today. I needed a Rhogam shot, and it was either go there or the ER since my OB won't be open again until Tuesday. They tried to do a beta, but an hour and a half and three lab technicians later, they never got a good stick. They told me I could come back tomorrow and try again, but I'm not planning to do that since I'm obviously miscarrying, and I have an appt. with my OB on Tuesday morning. I know my numbers are low, because my pregnancy test this morning was almost negative, it was super faint. They gave me my Rhogam shot, and it wasn't nearly as painful as the last one I had because I remembered to ask them to heat it to room temperature before giving the injection. I was in tears by the time I left the dr's office because I was so frustrated that I had spent so much time there (I had been told it would be a quick in and out visit), on a day that was meant to be spent CELEBRATING. Josiah turned three today. My sweet boy is THREE!! And he needs a sibling. I know it will happen, I was just really hoping it was going to happen THIS time. I'm really disappointed, but not nearly as sad about the miscarriage itself this time around... since I had been spotting ever since I found out I was pregnant and my lines never got super dark, I just had this gut feeling this pregnancy was not going to be viable. So, it didn't come as nearly the shock that my first loss did, when I was symptom free and got the call that my hcg levels had plummeted. So, that's where things stand. I guess it's time for a new siggy since I now have two angels in heaven

Sorry about your loss. Sorry you spent so much time at the clinic and could not celebrate your son's 3rd birthday. Hope you are able to celebrate his birthday today with him!

Oh no! I am so sorry!!! It's even worse that you were stuck in that office for so long getting poked & prodded. That was, I'm sure, the last thing you needed. I hope your little man has a wonderful birthday and that he can help bring you some joy today!!
