I had my endocrinology appt yesterday - had blood work done and have not gotten results yet. But when I do I will have a brand name prescription for my thyroid to get my TSH level lowered. This will be an ongoing treatment.
Today was my hematology appt and my platelet count is in a safe range between 85million - 100million count. So that means that the hematology doc cleared me for fertility treatment. I will go back when I am in the third trimester (I'm not pg at this time).
When my thyroid levels are in normal range then I will get an appointment with my RE and then get a treatment plan.
I may not be on here as much as I have been but will stop by from time to time.

Glad your appts went so well...on the thyroid medication, I like Synthroid personally as it's worked well (for me at least)...one thing my dr mentioned is that it's important once you find one that works (and some do better on one of the other brands) that you make sure your pharmacy continues to give you that brand and does not substitute it. Apparently effective dosage levels are very brand-specific, and a lot of the drug prescription plans encourage pharmacies to sub lesser cost generics, etc. so you have to watch them...I've taken mine back a couple of times to swap it for Synthroid when they sub'd it even after I instructed them not to. Good news is these thyroid meds are usually quite cheap (i think i pay maybe $6.50/month?) so that even if you insist on brand and your insurance won't cover entire amount, it won't cost you much more out of pocket.
Good luck and KUP on how you're doing (don't be a stranger - we'll miss you!)

Yes the endocrinologist mentioned synthroid. When I get a phone call from him with results he will let me know what dosage I need.

Lovisa I am glad you had a good appointment. So are you all cleared to try now or do you have to do more thyroid medicine first? Please keep us posted! I pray you get your rainbow baby soon!

Kaite: Yes it appears that I have to stay on my thyroid medicine. The Endocrinology doctor wanted me to get on Synthroid. Again do not know dosage yet but will know in a few days. I need to have my TSH levels in a range no higher than 4. I will KUP.
Ami: Thank you.
