His Grandmother's house is under water The last picture we saw water was up the the 2nd story window. His parents are stuck at their house on the mountain because the road to their house isn't there The creek runs along that whole road and it's across the road.

Flooding is always so scary. It's hard to appreciate how much power moving water has. I hope everyone stays safe.

Oh my! Is his grandmother safe? I hope she is with his parents, the mountain is probably the best place for them, they aren't in any mud slide danger are they? This area just can't take much more natural disaster!
Are you able to keep in contact with his parents somehow?

She is with his Cousins at a hotel. They live 3 doors down from her and are also flooded out. DH's parents have a lot of water coming into their basement but other than that are safe. They have been calling us 3-4 times a day to let us know updates. It's just there right now. Really hits close to home and DH and I are a mess.

yeah we have some creeks. There has been flooding all around us but our creek didn't flood that much. We are lucky that the barn didn't flood like it usually does. Dh's mom had to be evacuated because of the creck by her. She was able to go back last night.

how scary - i'm glad your family is ok, hopefully the flood waters recede & you get a dry spell of weather for awhile too (feel free to send all new rain to us here in TX, we desperately need it!)
