Just had to share, yesterday I had to take the car in because my brakes suddenly started making the dreaded grinding noise...ugh! Turns out one of the calipers was bent or broken (I can't remember what the guy said) and it completely wore the pad out and that grinding noise (as I suspected) was metal on metal and the rotor needed to be replaced. So, my car needed new rotors, calipers, pads, etc...lovely! The guy asked me before we started discussing how I was doing, I told okay, but you haven't told me the damage yet - lol! Anyways, the bill ended up being $497 - too bad rotors have to be put on in pairs...blah! Although, the rotors weren't the expensive part, the calipers were...DH and I both said, what the heck is that - haha! Anyways, sorry, just had to share - hope the car is good for a while, because our bank account is crying!

Yikes! I hate car repairs. It always ends up being more than bargained for.

Oh no!! That is horrible!! I've had that happen before too and calipers are definitely not cheap! I hope they last a LONG time!

Never what you bargain for and always seems to be over priced Oh and they always throw in, we can do this for you if you want - my response, is it necessary for my car to run efficiently and safely, if not, I don't want it yet...lol!
