My miscarriage started Friday 9/2, and today was the first day I had absolutely no bleeding. Well, I had all the symptoms of ovulation today, and decided to take an OPK. Sure enough, it was positive. Is that totally crazy? Should I be questioning the accuracy of the test since the m/c is so fresh? It was a chemical pregnancy, so I'm thinking that my body might have reset itself much quicker than with my former m/c. Now to decide whether to TTC this month... I wasn't planning on starting prometrium until after our new insurance kicked in on 10/1.

Update: DH and I ended up having an amazing time together DTD in honor of our 6th wedding anniversary. He joked that he might have to start buying expensive red wine every weekend. It felt so right, but if I get pregnant this cycle, I know I'll be a bit of a nervous wreck. So, I guess I'm in the 2WW, even though we didn't really intend on TTC this cycle!

I think anything's possible after a loss. It definitely seems pretty early to ovulate, but maybe your body is fired up and ready to get pregnant again. I don't know if any leftover pregnancy hormones might affect an OPK but that might be possible too. It's really hard to say and hopefully someone else on the board has more knowledge about this. Are you temping at all? Either way, having some wine and a celebratory BD session sound like the right thing to do after getting that OPK. It's better to do it and hope than not do it and regret....if that makes sense. Happy Anniversary to the two of you!! I hope you get a fabulous anniversary BFP very soon!

Good luck! I've noticed that our bodies are pretty crazy after a m/c so anything is possible.

Good luck Hun!!! Did they test your progesterone numbers? Just wondering if they were just putting you on Prometrium just in case or if they had a real reason. I doubt you still have HCG in your system but I do know that an OPK will come up positive if you do. I hope we both end up in the June DDC!

I read somewhere online (I can't remember where) that you can get ovulation symptoms like ewcm about 10 days after a m/c because your hormones are all messed up, but it doesn't mean you ovulated. It happened to me after mine but it didn't correlate with a positive OPK. In any case, I hope that you are ovulating again!

No, she did not test my progesterone numbers. She is putting me on prometrium because my cycles are only 24 days, and my luteal phase is between 10-12 days. She figured that combined with the fact that I've had 2 early losses, was a good reason to try the prometrium, just in case it can help me have a better shot at a sticky bean. I wasn't planning on starting the prometrium until next month when our new insurance kicks in (it's better than what we currently have), but now I'm thinking I might fill the prescription just in case and start it this cycle.

If you still had HCG in your system it can cause your OPK to be positive. It's really early to O after a loss but anything is possible with losses.

Update: I'm almost positive I actually did O. My ovulation test was negative the day after my positive OPK, and I have all the symptoms that normally hit me around ovulation time. I filled my prometrium prescription just in case, and started my first dose today. I don't want there to be any "what if's" in my mind if I happened to get pregnant. So, time will tell. I'll test in 14 days.

I would love to be in a DDC with you ladies! Have to admit, I'd be tempted to rejoin May DDC if pregnant since my due date would be June 1, and I'll have a repeat c/s a week before that. My Aug 08PR co-host as well as another good friend from our PR are both in that DDC, so I was really bummed when I miscarried and had to leave!
