**** 2nd UPDATE****

Ignore 1st update from this morning, yet more evidence that FMU sux...I of course, being crazy, couldn't wait until this afternoon to test again so I waited 3 hours & tested:



and for comparison with the phantom line from yesterday (today's seems a little stronger w/some color yay! even though i don't think it really shows in the photo)

So I took test this morning and got nothing, nada, squat...not even the faintest trace of a line . I am however going to test again later today b/c I always got best results early with late day testing not FMU...and on a slightly positive note I'm very very nausous this morning (almost puking bleh )

So against all reason/sense, I broke down and tested even though best case is I'm 9DPO and I may be 8DPO depending on how I project from +OPK result...and got what I think is a big ? result-wise with a FRER this afternoon.

I've included photo below...while I can see a very very faint line starting around 2 mins in, it's completely color-less (the pic shows more color than is actually there). DH looked at it and says it's not an actual line (more evap/grey like)....I'd kind of agree, except I've never gotten anything like that with a FRER before, my BFNs on FRERS always showed nothing not even the faintest trace of a line.

Anyway, what do you guys think? And don't worry about hurting my feelings if you think it's a BFN/not a real line...this being 1st cycle trying i had absolutely zero expectations anyway.

Well, I definitely see a line...without a doubt. The problem is, I can't tell if there's color to it or not. I really hope that there is color. When are you going to test again? Good luck!

If i were smart I'd wait a couple of days to test again...I vaguely recall someone mentioning once that it takes more than a day usually to significantly increase the hcg levels enough when it's this early to really impact the test line....but knowing me I'll test approx same time tomorrow 'cause now i'm dying to know if it's just a flukey weird line or really a +!

But at the same time I have never heard of an evap with a FRER... I say test again tomorrow morning and you will at least have a better answer.

My dh says he sees 2 lines and its positive.

i luv your DH then! I think my DH's opinion is being slightly colored by denial ...at our age you prepare yourself for lengthy TTC, so I think he was hoping for a BFP in like 3-6 months from now....and don't tempt me to do it again in the AM, cause i only have 2 more tests and you know I'll waste them both tomorrow before noon if encouraged to do so

I see a line without a doubt. I would say BFP but I cant tell if there is color or not. But I agree I have never heard of evap on FRER. Good Luck when you test again!!

I would totally do the same thing...I'd probably be testing a couple of times a day! LOL! When are they going to come out with a test that you can take right after ovulation to find out once and for all and eliminate the 2ww?

that is 100% a real BFP...I got mine at 8DPO also and it looked just like that - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Come join the May 2012 DDC

That looks like a BFP to me!!! I would keep testing just to be sure. I think a CONGRATS is in order though!!! FXed that it keeps getting darker!!

now you're all getting me excited b/c i thought the lack of color on the line leaned it toward some fluke phantom line result. I will test with FMU tomorrow AM and post...hopefully it'll look better or have some actual color.

And Sarah if anyone invented a test that could tell at ovulation, they'd be billionaires w/in a month can you imagine how many of us would buy those tests??
