Hey Everyone,

I am new here and posted my story in the September roll call.

I started bleeding and cramping on Aug 30th and had a d&c on Sept 2nd. The past 3 days I have had some light pain/cramping in my abdomen (around the ovaries). I havent really noticed any discharge since I have been wearing a pantyliner in case I start bleeding again. (havent bled since the tues after my d&c) Could this pain be ovulation pains? I have never really had any symptoms before with ovulation so I have no idea what to look for. I am hoping I did ovulate so that af comes in 2 weeks and we can get started ttc again. I see the ob tomorrow for my post-op appt.

Any help is appreciated!!!

I had never had ovulation pains before in my life...except after my m/c's. I felt significant discomfort when it happened. i think maybe things are more sensitive...that is my best guess anyways. after my first m/c, i even felt what I guess was..'the egg traveling through my fallopian tube' a week after we dtd. i thought I was crazy....and I thought, oh dear God, I hope that doesn't mean it is implanting in my fallopian tube. I did get pregnant that cycle, but it ended in m/c too. very strange that I felt all that if you ask me. I don't know if a lot of people do that, but it was def. a first for me.

Hello and welcome. I am very sorry for your loss! I get ovulation pain ever since my first m/c. Have you tried using OPK's? Without doing that it's going to be hard to say if your Oing right now.

sorry for your loss... I had a natural miscarriage and have not remembered feeling any "O" pains afterwards... It did feel crampy but I took it as the aftermath of the loss...
Way to go to jump back in to TTC! I agree with Katie (shortcake) Try OPK's....

I'm so sorry for your loss Honestly I was crampy/uncomfortable off and on for weeks after my D&C so I'm not sure I would attribute what you are feeling to O'ing. I have never really felt any O pain, before or after the m/c.

I hvae been off and on feeling like I was O'ing and I do normally feel it when I O...I thought I was, but never got AF, then yesterday the same sensation (2 weeks later), so either I am about to get AF or this was actually the "O" and last time was just cramping from the D&E.

Well had my dr appt today. He wants me to do bloodwork next week to make sure my hcg level went back to 0. He said as long as I wasn't bleeding or cramping my levels should be back to 0...just wants to make sure. Unfortnately he pretty much stressed the "wait 3 months before ttc again". He said use protection, but if one breaks and we happen to get pregnant before the 3 month period, not to stress out. Definitely not the news I wanted to hear, but I guess its the best for my body. I definitely don't want to go through this again. He also suggested some pill to help me not be so depressed....but I said no. I told him I cry whenever I talk about it, but not all the time. Before he left the room he gave me a hug and said it will get better! I have never had a dr before that cared that much and showed that much compassion!! Anyone else told to wait 3 months after d&c and didn't?

I was told to wait 2 months after my initial D&E, I didn't, I waited until after AF showed, then we jumped back into TTC, I was very lucky and was pg the first time we tried and had a very healthy baby and fairly uneventful pg. I am not waiting this time either. I just started AF after the D&E and we plan on TTC right after this ends.

Your doc may have told you that because you were very visibly upset at your follow up. My doc has told me that the lining has to recover, but that the 2 month wait is more for dating purposes...they can do this with u/s when you do get pg. My sister did not wait at all after her D&C and she became pg right away as well, she has a very healthy 3 year old from that pg. However, her pg was not an easy one, she ended up with placenta previa and because of that a preemie, she is very lucky that the docs were great and taking every precaution with her in the case that she did go early.

If you feel emotionally ready to try again (sometimes getting pg will help you to get past the emotions of the loss, but if you don't get pg right away, that can cause the emotions to be worse) I say go for it, but I would try to wait for that first cycle to hit.

GL and KUP!

Some docs say to wait and some don't. If you had an early loss I've heard lots of people who go on to have healthy pregnancies.. I think if you have a later loss it's more important to wait a few cycles for you lining and body to all get back to normal.
But Im no expert

My cycles were all wacky for the first few months, and I had an early loss. I was crampy throughout my entire cycles, so it's hard to say if it's O pain or not.
