Hi there HDJ
So sorry to hear about your ectopic. I had an ectopic pregnancy back in April of this year, in my left side as well, but they were able to save the tube. While I haven't been trying as long, I will say that I haven't been ovulating on my own since the surgery, until this month when I started Clomid. Not sure how it'll work for me, or if the scar tissue in my tube will block anything/cause another ectopic, but after charting and finding no ovulation I had to do something.
Seems like you are already doing the right thing by tracking ovulation and periods, and making sure to bd in your fertile week, but since one tube is missing, if you ovulate from that side, it will be more difficult to become pregnant. But it is not impossible to ovulate from the bad side, and have that egg go down the good side's tube. Since you've had part of your tube removed, your egg, if ovulated from your left side, may just be having trouble getting to the other tube.
Since it's been awhile you've been trying, and you are pretty sure you are ovulating (temp rise, cm, opk's), then I would say see a doc and ask what the issue could be. You have a history now that causes complications, so don't be hesitant to talk to a doc early. I hope you get your BFP soon. Good luck and sorry I couldn't be more help. If you ever want to talk though, feel free to pm me.
