Had my procedure today (m/c mentioned)

I am home finally from my D&C. We got there at 6:45 this morning and didn't get to leave until almost 2. We did pre-op the same day since I live a few hours away.

I feel really good (may be from the IV meds

) But so far so good. I am actually really relieved that I can move on now! Doc said procedure went really well and that he was able to get some tissue and hopefully its enough for testing.

Oh and when I got home there was a baby shower invite in the mail. Nice

I'm glad it went well. I'm sure you're exhausted, both physically and emotionally. I hope that TTC goes well. We are always here to support you every step of the way.

I'm sorry about the shower invite. That would upset me too!

Thank you.. and you know I am really not that tired! Probably all the meds! Haha...

Forgot to mention to get the the hospital we left the house at 4:15AM! So I am really surprised I am not tired. But when stuff wears off I will probably crash.

The invite was from my friend having baby #3.. and I knew it was coming.. just didn't expect it today. I didn't really get too upset either. Guess I am just out of that emotion for now

I am actually feeling really good. Barely any spotting and haven't had but just the smallest bit of cramping and that was before I left the hospital. Hopefully it stays this way.

I actually feel more back to my normal self which is odd because its so soon. But I just feel like I can start to move to the next step.

My doc apparently did a really good job and I am going to be sure and tell him that!

Oh and Linsdey the price wasn't that bad. Still more than I would like to pay but DH's insurance helped out a lot and I have already met my deductible. So yay!

That is really good. Try to take it easy and do as little as possible for about a week or so. I think that is where I messed up. I am a wedding photographer and had my D&C on a Wed and had 2 weddings that weekend and was on my feel 10-12 hours each wedding. So I think if I took that weekend off most of my pain and issues would not have been as bad.

That is great news about the hospital bill. Its bad enough to have to go through that but then when a couple weeks later this huge bill comes in the mail it was like a slap in the face.

Oh for sure.. even though I feel good I am still going to lay around this weekend. I started to do some cleaning then decided it wasn't a good idea. Just because I am ok now doesn't mean I can't mess something up! Things aren't going to heal over night.

I agree on the bill. I have already paid enough for IVF.. and then this. We had to pay part of it the day of the procedure and I wasn't happy about it. But DH went and paid it while they were prepping me... so that way I couldn't complain

Yeah that made me pay $300.00 the morning of before they even took me back for pre opp.
Of course that triggered me to cry because I was not expecting to pay anything/

Take it easy! Isn't it strange how different you feel after the procedure? I felt like a weight had literally been lifted, because I knew I could move on and wouldn't be waiting it out...so glad that you didn't have much pain, etc. Fingers crossed that it stays that way!

How are you feeling today?

Those must have been some awesome meds to keep you from feeling tired - that was a long day!
