We had a positive HPT on Sept. 15. Went in that day to have blood work...hcg was 336 prog. 4.6. Had a repeat on saturday. HCG still 336 prog. up to 7.2. Dr. told the nurse to tell me she isn't worried because my hcg does such weird things. I have no hope. This will be a confirmed #4 miscarriage. I was maybe at most 10 dpo with the 336 hcg. I really thought it was going to make it. Now I'm going to go cry some more. I don't know why I keep putting myself through this.

HUGS!! I hate that you are going through this!
I don't want to give false hope, but have they considered that the lab misreported the HCG?

I am so sorry. I do think it's odd that its exactly the same. I would question that and ask for another draw, just to be sure.

Hi and I am really sorry. Have you had recurrent loss testing? You might have a clotting disorder (sorry I dont know your history) or something very treatable. Dont loose hope though, I have had many losses, if you count the chemicals, and I went on to have another. Oh and getting an RE as opposed to a regular OBGYN really helps figures things out .

That's a really weird result Amanda...i'd push for a retest & have the lab recheck the result they just provided...i've never heard hcg remain exactly the same many days apart - increase but not enough, or lower, sure that happens...but exactly the same sounds like a lab mistake to me.
HUGS i'm sorry you're going through this extra worry...i'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you that this pregnancy is ok!

Thanks guys. My OB would only do what the American Gyn. Assoc. recommends on testing. So I had 1 clotting factor test...the antisypholoid (sp??), I had a chromosome test, thyroid, and lupus. All negative. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks after seeing a heartbeat before my 3 year old. Had my 3 year old. Had my 20 month old. Then had a miscarriage at 7 weeks (didn't see a heartbeat, had huge subchorionic hematoma) and then the last one was 2 months ago (Saw heartbeat, measuring fine at 8 weeks) only to pass at 11 1/2 weeks still measuring around 8 1/2 9 weeks. Now this. She only let me take progesterone because I begged her. I think I need to find a RE or something. I can take this. I'm not sure why I let my hopes get up at all when I see a positive HPT. I told my husband I'm not taking any more tests and we'll know we are pregnant when I go into labor.
I'm retesting either tom. or Weds. I do have a weird history of hcg. With my daughter it didn't double at all. And after my 2nd miscarriage my levels took 4 months to go to 0 even with a d and c. But I've searched all over the internet and can't seem to find anything about it staying the same.
I'll keep you posted. I'm going to go play with my little ones...hoping they can keep my mind off of it.

Glad you are getting another blood test. With births inbetween losses dr will assume its just one of those things, which sucks. I hope you can get to see an RE.

That is so strang that it would be the exact same number. Makes me wonder if there was paper work mix up. You would think it would change a tiny bit up or down.
a 300 number for 10dpo is really good .... progestrone not but at least it was going up.
I will be praying for you.

Since i'm not sure Amanda will be back on JM soon, I'll just pass along (hopefully she won't mind) that she FB'd me yesterday that latest results the HCG went up only 2 points so her Dr is calling it a chemical but monitoring her for possible ectopic. i am so sad for her
