SO my midwife emailed me this morning. Her former nurse and I are good friends. Anyway she has not contacted my midwife in awhile and she is worried about her so wanted me to text her to call my midwife back.

Anyways... Getting this message makes me miss my midwife so much! I miss working with her. I of course saw her after my m/c and twice since for blood draws but still. I want to be pg so bad to work with her again.

She is one of the biggest reasons I want more kids. If having my bed rest and back problems and everything during my pgs was not easy but for whatever reason she made this all tolerable and supported me.

My midwife has called monthly to check on me. She only works M/T/TH/F from 10 to 3 but she is there anytime you need her. She calls you back after hours days off. I remember waiting to hear about a test when I was pg with Adalyn and was sure I was going to have to wait through the long weekend but she called me Sunday evening.

My friend (same one above) called my midwife the day of my m/c because I was out of town and just went to an ER over waiting to see her. My midwife called me that day to check on me, ask if I had questions, give me an idea of what to expect with it.

Random I know but just sad to no be seeing her all time and having her support like I do when pg.

Can't believe my first baby she delivered will be 2 on Thursday! I am sure that is why I am so emotional! I am not ready for my sweet Anneliese first born to be 2 already!!

It can be hard, esp when you have such a great doc! I miss seeing my doc too! She called me yesterday to personally talk to me about the test results from my loss and she said I will see you when you are due for your annual (not due for that until next July) and I got bummed, thinking, well, I hope I get to see you before then!

I hope you get to see her soon for happy reasons!!

Thanks! She always tells me I will see her soon when we talk. So knowing that helps. Just sucks I was so excited in August to work with her again and then the loss. Now just hoping that our rainbow baby is here to stick soon!!

What a beautiful story. She sounds wonderful!! It makes me wonder if I should go the midwife route. It seems so much more personal.

Thank you ladies!

I had a DR deliver Adalyn because my midwife had to leave 45 mins before her birth. It was not the same. Yes it was different as I didn't DR with him the whole pg and it was a last minute switch but I would never use him as my regular OB DR. I will only see midwives for babies! I delivered at the hospital that we use and it was a regular birth just with a midwife. She is a wonderful lady!!
