Can bad eggs or low ovarian reserve cause recurrent miscarriages? We seriously can get pregnant when we look at each other...when we say we are going to try we are pregnant within 2 months. But curious if my eggs might be bad or something. I had a chromosome test that came back completely normal. I was just searching the internet for ANYTHING. I don't find out my hcg/progesterone levels until late today or tomorrow morning. I still have an small amount of hope but it's smaller than the eye could see I just don't understand this at all. How can I have two healthy children back to back and then struggle. I'm 33 so maybe my eggs are going bad.

You can have poor egg quality that can effect fertility. I believe that is something they can check. ((HUGS)) Hold on to that hope!

They only tested one clotting factor thing and it was normal. I've had the chromosome test, lupus, thyroid, and antiphophylloid clotting factor. All normal.
Off to look up more on egg quality

When do you normally O? DH and I got pregnant 5 times on the first try (with 3 losses). After my 3rd loss last September we weren't able to conceive on our own. When I went to my RE he said that he felt my losses were due to late ovulation (I was ovulating cd16-18) along with my single copy of MTHFR. My old OB never mentioned saw a problem with my Oing. The RE explained that the later you O the "older" the egg is and the less high quality it is.
They can test your eggs. If I remember it was a blood test. It was 3 years ago so I don't remember all that they tested and how but I know they checked my eggs then.
I have the same thing going one. I have my 2 girls 14.5 months apart had problems getting pg with DD1 but nothing with DD2. Got pg right away with #3 and m/c then had a chemical this month.
Your story sounds a lot like mine, except it takes us a little longer for us to get pregnant. 2 kids, numerous losses, sounds like a clotting issue (obviously I am not a dr) but I have been down this road. The FSH test is the egg quality test. I would definitely ask your dr. To run this as well as the clotting panel. Wishing you all the best and hoping your bean sticks and you don't have to worry about all this.
You have had 2 babies, you will have more...remember that, it got me through the hard times just thinking that over and over and over!!
Oh Hunny, Yes bad eggs can cause m/c, Low reserve can be checked by a blood test they check your FSH and that tells them you ovarian reserve. That blood test is usually done on day three of your period. If your Dr won't run your tests, Get a second Dr!!!! I will post the list of test that were run on me (this is only a partial list, that the RE ran, I will have to pull up the test my OB ran.)
