I had a miscarriage on September 17th and stopped bleeding on September 22nd. I was 7w3d based on LMP, but was only measuring 6w5d. I was wondering if there was a chance that I may be ovulating today? Normally I don't have ovulation pain, but today I've had a pinching feeling on my right side, near my hip bone. The only thing I can think is ovulation pain? It makes me nervous because DH & I DTD yesterday for the first time since my miscarriage. Does anyone know anything about ovulating after miscarriage?

It's really hard to say if you could be ovulating now or not. After a loss your body may O early, may take 2 weeks, or may not O at all. ((HUGS)) I wish I could be more of help.

Ditto Katie. Everyone's body responds so differently to a m/c it is hard to say when, or if, you will ovulate in the cycle afterwards. HUGs hun!

I agree with Katie and Joanna, it's really hard to say. You can try an OPK, although if you already O'd it isn't going to pick it up, but it may have been too early to O, they typically say 4 to 8 weeks before AF arrives, so it really depends on your cycle length.

I was wondering the same thing about ovulation after miscarriage. I just had my first miscarriage and it was relatively early along (5 weeks).... I started bleeding a couple days after my period would have been due, so I am wondering if my body would kinda just hop back into the old cycle and have ovulation next week (as it would have happened had I not been briefly pregnant). I'll probably do some OPKs everyday to hopefully get an idea of what's going on.

I read that you can expect to get your first period after m/c some time between 4 to 8 weeks after. So....if that's the case, then you could ovulate as soon as 2 weeks after (b/c you usually ovulate 2 weeks before AF). Is that correct?
