Had my appointment today and she told me basically she doesn't know what else to do. So she is going to hope and pray this is my cycle and if it isn't she is referring me to an RE. This December will mark 3 years since my first loss. She said she wants me to be pregnant just as much as I do... but I'll admit I'm starting to feel defeated. I won't give up don't get me wrong but **** why does this have to be so freaking hard.

I'm sorry Courtney It simply shouldn't be this hard to get pg. But on the upside maybe an RE is just what you need. Maybe he/she can quickly pinpoint some new issue and help you get pg right away At least this is what I am telling myself ahead of my first RE appt in a couple of weeks.

I'm sorry At least your OB is humble enough to admit when she has reached the end of her expertise... kwim? I'll be praying that this is your month, and that if it is not, you start to establish a really great relationship with a RE who can help you get the baby you so desperately long to have.

Awwwwwwww man Katie This really isn't fair I don't know if it's in the cards for you is IVF an option? I know it's way freaking expensive but I'm just curious...
Let's hope this is the month for you. Really. You out of all of us deserve a rainbow baby with all this crap you have had to go through...
The biggest truck load ever to be imagined of sticky, BFP, baby dust....

Praying hard this is your cycle Katie!!
On the up side RE's are good at even spotting little things that are easily fixed or overcome that regular OB's just don't see.
I'm surprised she hasn't sent you for a consult before this. 3 years is just too long to make someone wait.

Thanks ladies! I hoping that this is the next step in getting our rainbow baby. IVF is not an option, however, the OB said today she thinks that DH and I are really good candidates for IUI. So who knows. I think I'm going to ask them to schedule the appointment.

Katie, I wish your appt. went better for you, but I think in the long run, that seeing a RE is the best option. If anything, it will give you an overwhelming feeling of knowing that all bases have been covered. We know that you can get pregnant, that is half the battle. Finding out how to make it stick will be the RE's job......and they are the experts! I really feel this move is the best one, and that your rainbow baby is just around the corner now, cant wait for your first visit with them!

I also think that three years is a long time for her to wait before sending you to an RE...I think that the RE will be a good thing for you. You deserve your baby! Best of luck!

Seriously Katie you get an award for patience...i too think your OB should have sent you to a RE long before this. I don't blame you for being frustrated...let's view this as a big step forward on what's been a long journey already for you. Best case, this cycle THE ONE and we'll all be celebrating your BFP...and otherwise Sam's right an RE is going to be able to spot things and hopefully work up a game plan for you quickly. HUGS

I completely understand. I spent so many years being told by doctors that I could never conceive on my own. It's so frustrating. I think that being referred to an RE could be a really wonderful thing for you! You might get all the answers that you need and then really get your chance!

Hugs Katie!! I hope that all the PPs are right and going to see the RE is the step you need to get that little one in your arms.

I agree, I really hope this cycle is the one.....3 years is way too long, your OB should of sent you to a RE long time ago. If you have to go to the RE I hope they can figure out a game plan that will work, so you ca get your rainbow baby.
I have a friend that just had her baby after 3 years of trying
