And it did NOT go well.

I have gained more weight. My insulin is still high I am very close to being diabetic. My cycles have been crazy so I havent been ovulated and she isnt happy that I havent been taking my Metformin because thats supposed to fix all of that. Boo. I have PCOS.

My Metformin makes me sick thats why I HATE taking it. So she prescribed me a general version and Im getting the extended release tablets. So hopefully that doesnt make me as sick.

Long story short... If I am not pregnant this cycle.... I have to loose at LEAST 20 pounds, take my wanna be Metformin, and work out a TON, and barely eat any carbs for a couple months before trying again.

I hate all this WAITING! I hate DIETING! I hate my METFORMIN!

But I just got to remember... Its for a baby! I can do it! Its for a baby!

On a kinda small good note... I said at the end of the appointment... "So you think I will have a baby one day?" she said "I for sure think you will have your own children, you just have to work harder then other women"

I need someone to come slap me and make me work out and eat better!!!!!!!!

Anyway... Sorry guys Im just so frustrated I just want to be one of those women who get pregnant and then... well end up with a child in 9 months.

I know it's hard. Believe me. Hopefully the extended release will be easier on you. I just want to give you a bit of hope. For me, (not saying that it works for everyone), but for me losing weight has helped my cycles tremendously. I went from not ovulating hardly ever and very erratic cycles to ovulating every single cycle and my cycles have become very regular. There is hope.

The ER should be a lot easier on it _ couldn't handle the regular release either - but the ER was much more manageable.

I'll be your work out buddy if you want one - I need to get my butt in gear too

Kayla PCOS is EVIL, Metformin SUCKS and trying to lose weight with PCOS BLOWS. ((HUGS)) I know how crappy having PCOS is (I have it too, boo). Metformin and my body do not mix and I do not take it half the time anymore because it gets so bad I get dehydrated from it. Sarah is right please join us up above in the TTCAL Weightloss Thread It helps seeing others motivated and keeps pushing you forward. Don't give up because it WILL happen for you. I'm here any time you need to talk ((HUGS))

I know losing weight while you have PCOS is very hard. I have PCOS and I know how hard it is to lose wight. I will say after I lost weight my cycles got regular and I started to ovulate every month. Dh helps me when it comes to losing wight. He pushes me when I want to give up.

Im sorry you gained weight
I hated the Metformin at first too... I had to keep a bathroom very close and still have that problem from time to time.
I have to say now that I have given it a full 6 months I am pretty use to it and may even stay on it after I am done with kids.... but I will drop my dose.
I have lost 25 pounds since March because of it.

Boo...Have you thought of going to see a dietician about losing weight? My Naturopath put me on a high protein, low-carb, no sugar or dairy diet (with 2 cheat days a week) and with guidelines about what to eat and when to eat it. I run and do yoga, and just started weight training again. It's been really helpful, and while I've lost weight slowly, which is what she wants (5 lbs in two months) I'm happy with the results.
