Anyone take Vit B6 for a short luteal phase? I am still breastfeeding and I have a feeling that I might have a short LP. I am on CD 15 and have always had a 28 day cycle. I have not O'd yet and my cycles have been closer to 26 days lately. I obviously don't have all the info I need yet to know if my LP is short but it's definitely not going to hurt to start taking B6. How much do you take a day?

I have been taking for months.

I had been taking it from O to AF, and I was making my LP 11 days long, it was 10 days long.

last cycle I took it from AF to AF and my LP was 13 days long. so I am going with the full cycle again.

I started taking B6 last cycle after discovering I had a short LP two cycles ago. It definitely helped. I ovulated a day earlier, and I got a BFP. Unfortunately, I had an early miscarriage. My doctor doesn't think it was related to my short LP, but we really can't say for sure.

However, I'm confident that the B6 helped, and I'm hoping it helps even more this cycle. I figure there's no reason not to take it.

I've been taking 100mg/day. You can take up to 200mg, but anything more than that can cause nerve damage. I'd say starting with 100mg would be just fine, increasing later if you need to.

Just wanted to let you know sometimes it can take up to 3 months to fully start working so if the first month isn't a success don't give up. Some vitamins take time to build up in your system.

I'm taking 100mg/day also. Last cycle my LP was 16 days long. I'm not sure if it was the B6 or the Clomid that did it, but something worked. I've heard a lot of stories about it really helping with the LP.

With my second baby I had been taking it for a month...just when I needed to go out and buy another bottle, I got pregnant. Not sure if it contributed at all...but....maybe?

I'm not worried. Just trying whatever might help me increase my chances. With BFing my cycle has ranged from 25 days to 32 days.
