cd 5 here with a question

Hi everyone! Its been awhile since I have been on here due to broke computer at home (posting this from my phone). Af came on Monday and left the building today and boy was that a rough one!

So cd 5 here and am wondering if we should ttc this cycle or wait the recommended 3 cycles per dr orders? We are both ready to try again and want to get pregnant again right away. What do you ladies think?

Is this your first cycle after a loss? I waited for 2 cycles per the doctors order but felt like I was ready after the first. If this is the first cycle after loss I would make sure that your hcg levels are back to zero.

I think if you feel that if you're ready then go for it.

Yeah this is my first cycle after our loss Sept 2. My hcg levels were back at 0 on Sept 21.

I'm so sorry for your loss!! I didn't wait the 3 months to start TTC after my loss. I just waited until after my first AF. I think that if you are emotionally ready, there's no reason why you can't TTC.

I agree with everyone, since your hcg was back at 0 and you feel emotionally ready, go for it. With my first loss, we waited until I had gotten AF once, tried again and had a healthy DD. I think they tell you 2 or 3 cycles so that you are emotionally ready and for dating purposes. However, they can date from u/s if they need to

Nothing new to add. If you're emotionally ready, and your hCG is back to zero, I think you should go for it. I know I am.

If you feel emotionally & physically ready then go for it. If you body is not ready it won't conceive.

I think I read you'd had a D&C? Personally, after a D&C I'd wait until I'd had two periods. I just feel like my uterus would be more hospitable if it had a little extra recover time.

Possibly, but I had a D&E with both of mine and my body was fine afterwards. They do sometimes say that your lining may not be ready, but as Katie pointed out, I don't think you will conceive if your body isn't ready. No harm in practicing - practice makes perfect right

I haven't had my first AF since my m/c on the 15th of Sept, but we definitely haven't been preventing anything. My doc seems to think that if my body is ready, and if I'm emotionally ready then it's okay to ttc. I don't quite expect anything until my cycle gets back to normal, but if it does, then that would be amazing!
