This is my second cycle on progesterone 100 mg supplements. I normally have a 24 day cycle, and the first cycle on progesterone, I still started AF on day 24, one day before I finished the progesterone supplements. This time, I am on CD21, and am supposed to be taking the pills through next Thursday, and I started spotting/cramping today just like I do when AF first arrives. I called the on call dr. and they told me to take the progesterone until I was sure this was AF, and then to stop the pills if AF truly did start. I'm supposed to call my OB on Monday to set up an appt. with her to discuss things further. The on call dr. said they might want to try to do a progesterone level test with my next cycle, or they might just want to up my dosage of progesterone, or they might want to refer me to a specialist for more in depth testing So, I'm frustrated. Frustrated that my body isn't responding well to the progesterone, and frustrated that it looks like we're moving on to another cycle of TTC.

I'm sorry, it's frustrating when your body does not want to cooperate, hope that you and the dr can figure it out soon. HUGS

How frustrating!! I'm sorry that your body isn't cooperating and that you have to wait so much for answers! I've got my fingers crossed though, that the cramping/spotting is just your body playing another trick on you and that you don't need to go through another cycle TTC.

This is definitely AF It will be interesting to see what my OB says when I call tomorrow. A part of me wants to just lay off any further testing and meds for a bit to see if I can get pregnant on my own. After all, I have gotten pregnant on my own with no intervention 3 times already. I'm a little worried taking the meds is just messing with my system, and that my body just needs time to do things on it's own... kwim? We'll see though. I'm not against trying a stronger dosage of progesterone if she thinks it will help with implantation.

((HUGS)) I'm sorry the meds and your body aren't working well together. I hope your doctor can give you some insight on where to go next.

Thanks. I'm waiting for a call back now. AF got extremely heavy last night... I passed several large clots. I was really freaked out at first, and then I remembered that the same thing happened the second cycle after my FIRST miscarriage. So, maybe this is "normal" for me after a loss.
