Sorry it took me so long to update - JM won't let me login using IE today for whatever reason (so i am now on Chrome, and voilà here i am )

Appt went ok, it did confirm the loss (no surprise there). Did have some positives come out of the appt:

* It appears I've almost completed the m/c process on my own. This was a big shock b/c while I've had bleeding, cramping was never bad and it basically just wasn't what I expected. The good news here is that they're going to monitor my levels to 0 and hopefully I'll be able to avoid a 2nd D&C (yay)

* Once my levels go to 0, we'll wait 4 weeks and then my OB is going to run full battery of recurrent loss tests even though I don't technically meet the requirements for doing so. I'm really appreciative of this...she doesn't really expect to find anything but I love that she's willing to do it just in case future losses could be prevented if it does turn out I have a protein deficiency or clotting disorder.

I was disappointed though that Dr feels very strongly that I should wait until Jan to TTC again...this is a combination of some studies, my age & my now having multiple losses...apparently there is some evidence that I would be at an enhanced risk for a subsequent m/c if we don't wait. So i guess we're waiting...but since we're running the recurrent loss testing and likely won't be able to do that until late Nov/early Dec, it sort of works out since we'd want to know those results before trying again...just in case...

So I wait some more... story of my life right now it seems....

Lara I'm so very sorry...

But I'm glad that you're getting some positives out of it. Hopefully your doc (who sounds great btw) will be able to help you find some answers and you'll get that sticky BFP in January...

Hugs

So sorry you're going through this, but it's great that you have such a thorough and caring OB. I know the wait will be hard, but maybe it will be just the ticket to getting your sticky BFP come January!

Lara I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I am glad that your doctor is going to run some tests, even if it is just to give you some reassurance. I'm also glad that you are going to be able to avoid another D & C. Those are no fun. I am hoping that once you begin trying again in Jan you will get your BFP quickly.

Lara, I am ss for your loss, but glad that your body did it naturally the rest of the way. I hope that they will be able put your mind at ease after the testing, hoping that you get your BFP as soon as you get the green light from the docs!

I'm sure it was a rough day for you!! I'm glad that you can avoid another D & C and that your doctor is being so proactive. I wish doctors would run tests after one loss and not make women have multiple losses before doing anything, so I think it's great that your doctor is doing it after 2. I hope you get some answers and if there is something, it has an easy fix. Best of luck when you can TTC again. I hope you'll stick around here during that time and keep us updated on how you're doing.

Lara I'm so sorry that your going through this again. I'm glad your body is processing this on it's own though and that your doctor is going to run the testing. I know that even when I had to wait to try to wait for those test results I still felt like we were getting somewhere. ((HUGS))

Sorry for your loss. Glad your DR is running all the tests so you know. That will help put your mind at ease at least.
