So I started taking maca about a month ago. DH has been taking it too. For me it increased my cm greatly, and w/ dh he has had extra energy and drive. It was going great until AF was late.. 2 full days and I started to wonder if it was the maca. I am NEVER late.. well I found that for people with regular cycles, it can make you irregular for the first few. I have no doubt that it did help me some, and dh is still taking it and its having effect in him, but I can't do that for a few months, the uncertainty drove me nuts and got my hopes up Just thought I'd update in case anyone else was looking into taking it, I had to dig for information on it making cycles late.

Yikes! Sorry it screwed up your cycle. I tried taking it a few years ago. I'm not sure why I stopped I think it just wasn't really doing anything for me. ((HUGS))

I've been taking in about a year. Nothing has really changed for me either. I'm still taking it in hopes it's doing something to my body! Anyway, I guess it's not for everyone.

I started taking it last cycle and after a few days, I felt gittery and was having a hard time sleeping. It was like my whole body had restless leg syndrom. It's the kind of feeling I get when I take a medication that doesn't agree with me. The only thing I was doing different was taking the Maca and Bee Pollen. I stopped both and immediately felt better. So no Maca for me either. I kept DH on it for this cycle, but he's been complaining that his muscles feel "shaky" now, so he's off it too. Don't know if this is all in our heads, but we won't be using it anymore.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't take it consistently. We have the powder and I cannot stand the taste. DH has taken it some too, but again not enough for it to do anything for him.
AF was over a week late for me, but I don't think it could have been the maca since I hardly took it last cycle... Who knows?...

Yeah definitely not for everyone.. dh is good with it, so he's still taking it but no more for me
