Is it possible the doc was a little rough or something during the exam though? I kind of doubt that, cause this sounds really promising to me! 5 dpo isn't too early for implantation bleeding I don't think, so I'd test at about 9 dpo to see! Baby dust and good luck!

For me implantation bleeding has always been just spotting or brown blood. I hope this means good things for you!!

Have you asked your doctor for progesterone? I have heard the creams are not that effective.

A little back story on me. This is my 3rd cycle after my chemical pregnancy at the end of July/beginning of August. I do have PCOS, but losing weight has regulated my cycles so that they are now normal and I O regularly. I'm also currently using Natural Progesterone Cream for my PCOS and because I do believe my progesterone is low (but haven't gotten it checked for sure yet). I'm currently on CD22 and 6DPO.

So here is my confusion. I had my annual pap appointment yesterday(at CD21 and 5DPO) and I started to bleed. My doc acted like I was just getting AF and it was no big deal. I'm not buying that it's AF because it's way too early for me to be getting my AF. I did bleed a bit yesterday, but it was hardly even close to even a light period day for me and today I literally have had nothing . . no bleeding, nothing. My temp went up this morning too, which also leads me to believe that it's not my period. I did a little bit of googling and came up with possible implantation bleeding at 5dpo. Is that possible? Why would my doc think it was my period?

Normally with the Progesterone cream I stop after my AF starts or my temp drops signaling AF (around 13-14dpo). I'm holding off right now because I really believe that this isn't AF coming & I don't want to mess around with a possible BFP if it's coming (I just think this month is my month) .

Sorry I know that was long and if you made it this far . . . Thanks! Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

It didn't feel rough, it felt normal & I've never had it happen before but anything is possible. I think it was just her calling it AF that just threw me. Thanks for thoughts!

I haven't asked her yet. I did make her test my progesterone this time though. She's just a regular doctor not an obgyn so I'm not sure how much longer she will be able to help me anyway. Once the test comes back I'll make more of a decision on what to do going forward.

I agree with you...it is definitely not AF. Your temps are still high and the flow wasn't enough for it to be....plus, that would be really early for AF. Since your doc isn't an OB, she probably doesn't take into consideration that you are charting your cycles and know when you ovulated...etc. I think that sometimes doctors think we're way more ignorant than we really are. I hope it is IB though and you get your BFP in a few days!

I've had implantation bleeding twice. First pregnancy was brown spotting from 9-10dpo on my underwear, and this time it was from 6-8 dpo only when I wiped. I heard implantation bleeding is from 6-12dpo, so I'm sure 5dpo is possible...I am crossing my fingers for you!

You are definitely not crazy! One of my biggest pet peeves is doctors who act like their patients are clueless and don't really take the time to truly listen and respect them. Sometimes they don't realize how in-tune we are with our bodies. It can definitely be frustrating!

YES, this is exactly the way I was feeling. She kind of made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. I'll figure it all out in a week anyway. LOL Thanks for making me feel like I'm not crazy!
