This last pregnancy was a happy accident so I didn't have to go through all the trying and 2ww etc. This is the first month trying after the miscarriage and I totally forget everything! Now after doing some research again online I think I missed my ovulation day. Darn it! We were DTD a lot in the beginning of the month but then I guess we both just got tired LOL and missed a few days. I forgot that my periods can be really irregular too.

I know there is still a chance and Im hoping for it but I need to make sure I don't get too excited. I hate all the phantom pregnancy symptoms I think I have!

If I don't get pregnant this month I may need some help on how to chart and all that stuff. My last period was October 9th but what sucks is that I don't have a regular cycle every month so I have no clue how many DPO I am (or if I O'd at all)

Does everyone here take their temp and chart?

I chart my temp and CM, and I use OPKs. OPKs might be a good route for you, since your cycles have a history of being irregular. You can buy Wondfos really cheap from Amazon... like 50 for under $10.

I've always had really regular 30-day cycles, so I just figured we could BD a bunch toward the middle of the cycle, and I'd be good to go. When it didn't happen the first month, I decided I'd chart just for the heck of it, and I discovered a luteal phase defect. I'm pretty sure that short LP is what led to my loss last cycle. So I've been taking B6 to correct it, and it's helped a lot. I never would have known, though, if I hadn't charted.

I use FertilityFriend.com. You can click on my ticker below, and it will take you to my chart. You can sign up for free.

Whenever you get started charting (and I'm hoping you don't even have to!), feel free to ask specific questions. I'm a nerd and love admiring mine and other women's charts.

THanks ladies! You would think I would remember this stuff from when I was TTC with my other two kiddos but I don't!

I have way to much going on in my house to remember to take temps and chart. I just use clearblue easy digital OPK to "track" my ovulation. They have yet to let me down as far as I know! Got pg twice with them in a matter of two months. (Lost them both though.)

I've started temping this month again. Darn pcos is making a mess of my chart (I think). Used also 2 opk's - last one today and while I was thinking that it was going to be super positive it came back totally negative.

Have you been checked out why to see you have such irregular cycles?

No I have never been checked out. Should I? One month it will be like 28 days and another month will be like 45. While getting preggo with my second I had to use OPK's to figure out ovulation.

http://www.amazon.com/Wondfo-Step-Ov...0092991&sr=8-1

That is 50 OPK's for under $10

http://www.amazon.com/Wondfo-Pregnan...0093024&sr=1-2

That is 50 HPT for under $10

As far as charting I used to but it wasn't for me. It made me feel insane having to wake up and do it every day at the same time. OPK's work well for me. I start them around CD 8-9 and do them until I get a positive and then a negative. I try to BD at least every other day the whole way from CD 8-16 and sometimes every day. (I don't beat myself up if it doesn't happen) I also keep an eye on my CM. I hope you get pregnant this cycle so you don't have to worry about it

It depends I think. If your OB knows about this but is not bothered it's up to you. If you haven't ever brought this up I would. Personally I'm the type of person who wants to know all the why's and how's. I have pcos and I do not get all that varying amount of days between periods.

If your cycles are that irregular, I would definitely recommend temping as well as using the OPK's. I think it would really help you get an idea of what your body is doing. OPK's are great for predicting when ovulation is about to occur and temping is great for confirming that you ovulated (very important in making sure you actually are ovulating regularly). Getting into the routine can be a drag and definitely isn't for everyone, but if you can get into it and it isn't too hard to stick with it, it can be a really helpful tool. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about all of this. It can be really overwhelming sometimes.

Can I ask something about this? Since you temp you might help me as well. Today I used an OPK - was sure that it was going to be positive since I say my follicle on the u/s but it came back totally negative.

If I had to go with OPK's I would never know that I would be going to ovulate. Temp wise I haven't had any major differences in temps yet as well

If you haven't had a major temp shift yet, then you haven't O'd yet. So your OPKs just haven't caught a surge yet. It could be that your follicle is just building and will be ready to pop in the next day or two. Keep using those OPKs.

And if this isn't your cycle... but it totally is!!! Temping is massively helpful. I never would have known that I have a luteal phase defect if it wasn't for temping.

I have really regular cycles, so I don't temp/chart. I use the Wondfo OPK's and pay attention to my CM.

Ugh there wasn't any temp shift this morning. It went 0.1 downwards if anything
