I'm pretty sure you girls know that Caffeine does affect fertility. I love coffee but I only have one cup a day and the rest is always decaf. I don't drink, exercise, eat right, anything natural that I can to TTC, we are all doing this sort of thing. Well why does dh have 2 espressos and now going out for more coffee? And after lunch will have more espressos? When I told him, he very rudely said that why would I amuse that it was him the problem and not me? Like I am not beating myself up already for not being pg? Right now I hate him.

Thanks for listening......

I always think it's crappy that we put ourselves through so much and majority of the time our DH/SO just goes about life like nothing is happening. Would he listen if you printed out something offline showing how it affects him or had the doctor tell him?

He would only go to the doctor if he's dying I have told him that I would show him all of of this, he does trust me with this stuff, and knows that I have done my research, so he knows I am not doing it to screw him. I know he is going through a lot right now, we are moving back home in a couple of days, and things with our landlord in Belgium, did not end well, he's trying to get all of our money....I just hate that I can't enjoy a beer because or more coffee because I don't want anything to prevent us from getting pg. MEN!!

It always hurts when our SO doesn't seem to be on the same page as us. That would hurt my feelings and I would be mad as well at my DH if he was doing that. Have you tried sitting him down and telling him how much it hurts you that you are trying to do everything by the book and by him consumming so much caffiene really bothers you? I would hope he would stop if you really asked him to. Not stop all together but just not have so much.

Lurking here from PAL- Talk to your DH about it. When I told my DH the theory of caffeine hurting fertility, I told him he doesn't have to quit cold turkey. Just a lot less. He is a addicted to coke and starting becoming addicted to coffee. When I explained this to him, he had me bring him a cup of water. lol I will say, though, that even with his slight addiction to caffeine, I was able to get pregnant once this problem I had for a year sorted itself out. The problem was more me than him. I was too stressed and it was affecting my body to the point where I wasn't ovulating. Nothing i could have controlled though. Short story is, talk to him and tell him he does not have to stop cold turkey. Just drink less.

arrrgh, i hate that a thoughtless comment (i'll give him benefit of the doubt on that ) made you feel bad. BIG HUGS, it would be nice (sometimes) if they had a better understanding of what we deal with...
