Have you ever heard that late implantation causes a higher risk of miscarriage? With this last pregnancy I know I implanted late, it was 12dpo at the earliest and 18dpo at the latest. I remember because we thought we had missed the egg and then I tested when I knew I would for sure have a BFP but got a BFN, then the next day I had implantation bleeding and tested 3 days after that and got a BFP.

Anyways, for some reason I have always wondered if that had anything to do with my loss so tonight found a few sites that say there have actually been studies done to show that the later implantation the higher the risk of miscarriage.

Very interesting. If you have heard of this before, have you heard of anything to help implantation along? I know there isn't probably anything you can do about it, but just wondering.

I never heard of that. I never thought that would have an effect, unless you implant late and have a short luteal phase...then it would make sense, because you'd start your period before it ever had a chance to implant...

I am an early implanter.....I know because each time I have gotten pregnant it's been on a month when we've had sex one time..so I know exactly when conception occurred, and each time...I got my BFP at 7 to 9 days later, and I feel recognizable, distinct symptoms after about 3 days after we had sex (and I only get those symptoms while prego, so I know its not all in my head). First two times resulted in live babies, the third time resulted in an early miscarriage.

I have read the same thing, Valerie. Just one more thing for us to worry about when we conceive again.

Yes, I've heard that as well. My homeopath said that the egg will move faster through the fallopian tubes if there is very little mucus blocking it's path. She did acupuncture to help with that. Believe in that stuff or not, I implanted on dpo 6-7 this time instead of the 10-11 dpo with my miscarriage. Who knows if it will work in my favour or not as I am still early in the first trimester.

I implanted on the later side this time (m/c), 10-11dpo too, was curious about this also. Not sure when I implanted with DD, so...

I was thinking of using acupuncture in the next couple of cycles. I have a short LP that is getting longer each cycle, thanks to B6. However, it would be helpful if that little egg could travel fast and nestle in tight. I might have some questions for you at a later time.

I can't find the article anymore but the statistics of their study was crazy. Women who implanted before 10DPO had 15% chance of miscarriage and anyone who implanted 12DPO or later had a 85%! It's another thing out of our control I guess.

Ask away! I did a combination of a few things, but I remember her saying that about the tubes.
