Actually, I tested last night with an IC, and I got a very faint positive. DH confirmed that it was there, which is huge because he doubted my first few positives last cycle. So I tested with a FRER this morning, and I don't think there's a line. I stare at it and think I see a line where it would be, but I can't decide if it's actually there or not. Last BFP cycle, I had a faint line on an IC and didn't get a faint line on a FRER until 36 hours later. So I'm hoping that's what's going on here.

When I checked my CM this morning, I also noticed dark brown mixed in with the CM. It's not really to the point of spotting yet... just when I "go looking for it." The same thing happened last cycle, so I shouldn't worry myself. However, I can't help but be concerned when I see even trace amounts of old blood.

Since I have a short LP, even though I'm only 10 DPO, it's not necessarily implantation spotting. It really could be the start of AF. I also know that a faint positive could easily turn into a chemical pregnancy for me. So I'm trying to stay grounded and hopeful at the same time. That's a difficult task.

If AF doesn't arrive later today, I'm going to test again this evening. I'll definitely keep you posted. Think sticky thoughts for me, please.

Girl I know all about staring at a FRER and thinking you see a line! I am hoping and praying this is it for you and its super sticky! Try not to get worried just yet about the old blood. I spotted with both of my girls in the beginning and it all turned out fine. Im going to be stalking you so please KUP tonight! Are you going to test tonight with an IC or FRER ...or both?!

Probably both!

I leave before the crack of dawn tomorrow to fly to Washington, DC, for a week. I am going to be a nervous wreck because if/when I do get a BFP, I really want to see my doc. That's not going to be possible, though.

One way or the other, I'd really like to get an undeniable BFP or for AF just to show before I head out tomorrow.

Evening update

I held my pee for 2.5 hours and just used an IC. I swear I don't see a line at all. I don't know if maybe last night's test was a false positive or what. I didn't want to waste the FRER tonight, so I'll use it first thing in the morning.

I actually wouldn't be disappointed, since my temp dip and cramping were at 8 DPO. If that was implantation, I wouldn't be able to see a positive until tomorrow. I'm just kind of ticked about last night's test... that even my cynical DH saw.

I guess it's also possible that I was pregnant for just a bit and the spotting is the start of AF/chemical pregnancy. Only time will tell.

The good news is that I have barely spotted at all today. I haven't checked CM again because I figure I should leave well enough alone. My crampiness is lighter and very centrally located.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks for updating us. Im sorry it wasn't an obvious BFP. Lets hope last nights was the real test and hopefully you will see a nice BFP in the morning.

Thanks, ladies! I'm going to test first thing in the morning, but I might not be able to update right away. I'm traveling all day tomorrow, leaving my home on the West Coast at 4:30am and arriving on the East Coast at 4:30pm. If I don't get a chance to check in (with my phone) during the day, I definitely will in the evening.
