I found out this weekend I was pregnant and this morning the test was negative. The blood test showed I am still technically pregnant, but HCG is 15.6 and progesterone is 1.8. They basically told me prepare to miscarry.
I have some prometrium 200 capsules at home. The RE didn't see there was a point in taking them, as she feels this is just a failed pregnancy. I'm so tempted to take it though - what if it helps somehow? Anybody tried taking progesterone when at risk for m/c?

I actually also found I have 5 leftover progesterone suppositories - I wonder if it helped if I took one of those every day until I test again.
They did say to test again in 2 days.

Hmmm...... I guess it does not hurt to try it. Hopefully you will receive some good news afterwards.

I am so sorry you are going through this. It wouldn't hurt for you to take the progesterone at this point but I am not sure it would help either. It sounds like a chemical pregnancy At the same time - go with your gut and what your doctor is saying as I am not a doc. (((hugs))) I took progesterone from about 3dpo - 12dpo each month to help raise my levels just in case.

At this point with the progesterone as low as it is I would not start the supplements as that can prolong the m/c itself. I am so sorry your going through this again.

I agree with Katie, I would not take the supplements at this time. If your numbers were higher, maybe, but I really don't think it will help. I'm sorry

I'm so sorry. I agree with the other ladies. Unfortunately, I don't think it would help at this point.
