So I cannot believe this....my former OB's office called me today to REMIND me of my u/s appointment tomorrow!!!! Are you kidding me?! I called them back (i missed the call) and told them "The appointment was suppose to be cancelled...I m/c remember I am NOT pg anymore" Like I REALLY needed a reminder that I should be 7w2d tomorrow and going in for a happy appointment to hear the heartbeat?! This is just really seals the deal and makes me feel even better for changing doctor's offices.
sorry ladies I just had to vent. It got me really upset and annoyed.

hugs. I called to talk to my OB after m/c and told them I needed to cancel an appt I made for a month later. They were asking why or if I was coming back to their practice. It's just a thorn in your side

That is horrible! We really don't need reminders and that just is like a stab in the heart.

OMG, that is awful!!! I'm glad you called & set them straight. I would've been so upset too! I'd say it's a good call for you to change doctors.

That really does suck.... You don't need reminders that it happened and then to tell them that you just had a loss... hurts.. Hugs....

I am really sorry! When I had my loss it was just a few days before my NT Scan was scheduled, I had to call and cancel and the woman said do you need to reschedule, I said no thank you, I lost the baby, she felt awful and was immediately apologetic, I thought later, I should have asked my doc office to do that, they totally would have called and cancelled for me - I hope your new doc office is much better at being organized!!!

Nope the gal I talked to just basically what sounded like shruged it off and said "okay". And I hung up the phone. But she was also the gal that I couldn't stand from the begining. She doesn't seem at all competant to be working in a medical office. She screwed up things for me constantly. It's why I always asked to talk to someone else, lol.
Running like crazy from that office!
And thanks ladies at least I know now I didn't over react or that my standards for what is to be expected are to high. I just couldn't believe it.

I don't think you overreacted at all. I think it's totally insensitive of them.

I'm sorry that happened to you! I had the same thing happen. It was a recorded message reminding me of my 12 week appointment with the doctor. When we lost the baby they told us they would cancel everything so I didn't have to stand up at the front desk bawling my eyes out but turns out that they did not.

Sorry that happend to you as well. It's so frusterating and tbh hurtful! I mean how hard is it to take a second after the persons appointment as they are leaving to delete any remaining appointments for that pregnancy?

I'm so sorry. I can relate. I went to my obgyn last week and the nurse asked me "how's the baby?" I said "she died." I delivered my daughter stillborn @ 23 weeks. My husband told her they need to read the charts before starting a conversation with patients. I felt bad for her because she looked so embarrased but I felt horrible and just felt like leaving.
