Just thought we could share a short & sweet thread on our ttc journeys

I'll start....DH & I have been together for 10 years. Had DS in 2004 (our unplanned blessing). Had an IUD placed right after DS. Had it removed in Jan 2009 to TTC #2. Annovulatory since then. Took Clomid on my own, unperscribed, last cycle because my old insurance didn't cover any fertility testing or treatment. (New insurance covers 80% yay) So, got a bfp a week after initial RE appt. M/C at 5w3d. Done with all fertility testing and have a followup appt this Friday. Hoping for answers. The age gap between DS(7) and baby #2 isn't getting any smaller.

Oh, and over the course of the last 3 years, my ob/gyn did some bloodwork and put me on the following meds hoping to make me ovulate: Metformin, Synthroid, Folgard, Lisinopril, and vitamins. Hopefully RE will add clomid this next cycle. I also tried a few alternatives on my own including soy isoflavones, vitex, temping, teas, etc etc lol


So what's yout ttc story, in a nutshell?

DH and I have been together for 13 years, married for 11. We conceived DS (now 2.5) with no effort at all. Started TTC#2 a year and a half ago. Just shy of a year TTC#2 we had a missed m/c discovered at 8 weeks, followed by a D&C a week later. Went in for fertility testing after a couple of cycles post-m/c. Discovered that I have a possible blocked tube but otherwise am fine. DH has serious MIF issues. Did an IUI with Clomid and Trigger this cycle. If this doesn't take, then we will be waiting 6 months for DH to have surgery and let the meds he is taking kick in and then reassess. If his SA is not significantly improved at that point then we will move directly to IVF-ICSI.

DH and I have been together for a little over 9 years. I used to weigh over 200 pounds more than I weigh now, and at the time I was told that because of PCOS, other problems related to my weight, etc that I wouldn't ever be able to conceive a child. Well, I lost 250 pounds all together. In the last year I got bariatric surgery and I've lost 100 pounds since then. I'm really healthy! Still, I never thought about TTC. In July, I was surprised and pleased to find out I was pregnant! I was due April 17, 2012.

I lost the baby at a little over 9 weeks, and learned that my progesterone was too low. Now I know a lot more about my reproductive health, and my current doctor thinks that I can have a healthy pregnancy with a little supervision, and probably progesterone supplements.

It appears that I O normally and all. My M/C was natural and pretty much by the book. This is my first TTC cycle after the M/C, and while I'm still grieving a bit, I'm excited

DH and I have been married for 6 years, and we dated for 6.5 years prior to getting married. Josiah was born in Sept. 08, and it took us 3 cycles to conceive him. I had a perfect pregnancy, and a tough delivery that ended in c/s. We started TTC our second in Oct. 2010. It took 8 cycles to get pregnant, and I miscarried at 5wks in May. We got pregnant again in August, and I miscarried a second time the beginning of September. I'm on prometrium 100mg oral now, and we are actively TTC. We are headed into our 3rd cycle, and I'm really hoping this next month will be it for us!

DH and I have been TTC since right before we got married in July/August 2008. We got pregnant right away and had a late loss December 15, 2008 with our son Noah Allen. After that things just proceeded downhill. We have had 9 losses total since then and I have PCOS & Endo.

MIke and I have been married 12.5 years, we started ttc our first a year after we were married. After 5.5 years we were blessed with our first pregnancy, Adam was born Sept 2006.

We started ttc #2 when Adam was 3 months old, after 12 months I found out I was pregnant again, and Nathan was born sept 2008.

We started ttc #3 when AF returned at 5 months PP, after 14 months we found out we were expecting again, but at 8 weeks we found out I had a missed m/c and the baby stopped growing at about 6 weeks. a week later I miscarried.

We have been ttc since then - 16 months since my m/c.

I was dx'ed with PCOS about half way through our ttc journey with ds1, and was put on metformin. all three of my pregnancies were conceived with the help of metformin. I am not currently on it since I can't find a doctor to prescribe it, my blood work came back as "normal" however they didn't tell me to get off of all the supplements that I am using to control testosterone.

We've been together for 9 years married for 2. We had DS in 2004 and then I had been on and off bc for a few years, till I finally got fed up with hormonal bc 2 years ago. We decided to TTC again, after I swore up and down I was done, on our anniversary this year. We got 4 cycles in before we conceived, but sadly that ended in a m/c. Now, I'm not sure what we're going to do. I'm thinking of just leaving things up to nature.

DH and i been together for 10 years, married for the last 5 years. We started TTC #1 in 2007, Dec 2007 we found out we were pg, m/c Feb 2008. Got pg with DS who was Feb 2009. We been TTC #2 since August 2010, took some months off because of DH being out of the country. We are not doing anything special, just hoping for a miracle.

DH and I were both married before - no children (my issue was my ex-he was sterile, his was his ex).
We started TTC about 2 months before we got married in April 2008. We got pregnant for the first time in June, and m/c on the 4th of July. (natural). We got pregnant again in October and again m/c also natural. My OB decided due to my age to go ahead and refer us to an RE. I met with the RE in December 08, and he diagnosed me with Hashimotos (hypothyroidism) and also a uterine cyst. We ended up getting pregnant that cycle, but again m/c very early.
I had surgery to remove the cyst in January 09.
We did two cycles of clomid and IUI, both were BFN's. We then did a cycle of injectables and IUI and got our BFP. We originally were pregnant with twins, but lost one twin early on. DS was born in Jan 2010.
We started TTC #2 in June 2010. We had another early m/c in August, got pregnant again that cycle but ended up losing that baby in October to Trisomy 18.-first D&C.
Went back to the RE in the spring, did injectables and IUI, again got pregnant with twins, lost both at 6.5 weeks. Next medicated cycle was a bust.
Our last medicated cycle (injectables and IUI) we got pregnant again, and so far so good. I'm officially in the 2nd trimester now, and baby looks perfect.

I have been with DH for 12 years, married for 5 of those. We started TTC in Jan/Feb '08, got pg right away only to find out that I had a missed m/c at 8w with a D&E. We waited a cycle and decided to go for it again, we got pg right away and luckily that baby stuck, DD was born 3/09. We decided to TTC again right before DD's 2nd bday, so I had my IUD removed and we started NTNP around Feb/Mar, I got pg in May and had a 2nd missed m/c with D&E in August at 12w.

WOW! Congratulations on your weight loss - amazing!! How did you do it? My dh needs to lose about 150lbs.

DH and I have been married for 10 years. We started ttc in July 2005 and got pregnant right away. Unfortunately that resulted in my first loss on 8/12/05. We got another BFP in November 2005 and I had DS on 7/12/06.

We started ttc again in July 2007 and got pregnant right away again, that resulted in our second loss on 8/27/07. We got another BFP in September 2007 and I had DD on 5/12/08.

We started ttc again in July 2010 and got pregnant right way. Baby's heart stopped beating at 9 weeks and I had to have a D&C at 11 weeks on 9/21/10. That was the start of my year from hell. I had a coworker due 2 days before me, one due 2 days after me, and one due 2 weeks after me. I got to watch all 3 of them grow knowing that I should be right where they were. Suddenly our problem wasn't only staying pregnant, but getting pregnant too. By February 2011 I went to my OB and tried to get him to help me, because I knew something was wrong. He refused, and I wound up with another OB who is absolutely amazing. She did the recurrent loss panels, found out I have a single mutation for MTHFR, and sent me to an RE. My RE is wonderful as well. He thinks I've always had an ovulation problem that my OB never bothered to acknowledge or treat. He believes it was the cause of my 3 losses. We did 2 rounds of Clomid, and that didn't help, because it thinned my lining horribly. We did a round of injectables (Follistim) and IUI, and wound up with a BFP in July 2011. So far I'm my second trimester with twins.

Dh and I have been together for four years, married for four months! We got pregnant, but lost the baby at 11 weeks 3/17/11. We choose a D&C. We started trying again in September, this is my 3rd cycle TTC #1. I hope for my BFP soon!

Dh and I have been together for little over 3 years and married for year and half. We have been trying for 3 years. We were told by my old Ob that we couldn't get pregnant on our own. We had a IUI done in June of 2010 and were so happy we got pregnant. That would be our first loss. Surprise we got pregnant on our own in December of 2010. This would be our second loss. We got pregnant on our own in Feb of 2011 and loss pumpkin in March. We are pregnant on our own again. This is our rainbow baby. We are now in the 2nd trimester. Everything is looking good with baby.
