I am having some dull once in a while sharp pains in my pelvic and abdominal area. Is this normally since my body has just gone through a traumatic thing? I took the medication for the m/c on Nov 3 and finished them Nov 5. So it's been almost a week since I took the medication, could my body still be adjusting? I know I should call or e-mail my doc but first I want to see if anyone else has had this. If I go to the ER it will cost A LOT and I will if my life is in danger but I really hope this is normal.

Thank you ladies.

Did you take cytotec?
and did you have an U/S to confirm that everything came out?
I had to take cytotec on a Thursday when we found out that the baby no longer had a heartbeat...the baby came out that night, however, the gestational sac didnt come out until the next Monday (5 days later)...that day, I had very very strong cramps while it was coming out, and scared the living daylights out of my husband with the phone call I made...

I would definitely call your dr at least...

I'm so sorry that you are going through this...

I did take Cytotec too. She isn't even doing a beta draw to make sure my numbers are going down. However, I did take a hpt and it is much lighter so they are going down. I stopped bleeding all together yesterday and haven't had anything since. When she did the u/s there was no baby or sac attached, she thinks it was already in the blood clots that she did she.

I personally would push for at least another hcg draw to see that its going down. In my case...mine did go down, at first...and then it went right back up. I had retained tissue and just had my 2nd miscarriage episode of this miscarriage...a whole month apart...the whole bleeding for days and cramping thing happened again, but this time I actually passed what I believe is the placenta..which was probably was was causing my numbers to keep going up.

Can you make an appointment versus going to the ER? That would likely be more cost effective.

But...since they never did see a gestational sac or anything..there is always the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy, especially with pains. I think you need another u/s.

I just sent an email to set up an appointment. She did write and tell me she checked my tubes and saw nothing there. Just waiting on the appointment. Thank you so much for sharing what happen to you so I can make sure she checks what needs to be checked.

I'm sorry you're going through all this. I hope you get that appointment soon and I agree, you should ask for another blood work-up for the HCG. I thought that was standard for a m/c... to make sure you know everything is back to normal levels. It's odd she wouldn't just call for it on her own. I hope everything gets worked out for you.
