I did not have an ectopic, but I had tons of testing done because I had four losses, three of which were consecutive months (early losses). The HSG test (where they look at the tubes) came back that my left one was blocked, the dye was not getting through it.
I have been pregnant 7 times and never try more than a month before getting a positive. It is fairly obvious I am fertile! Lol. The losses I had were due to an undetected clotting issue, not the tubes. So yeah, having one tube does not doom you to trying for a long time. It is unexplained how I can ovulate and conceive month-after-month, when I should not be able to get an egg through the left side.
But a close friend of mine has one tube and one that was incredibly damaged from an early childhood accident. She was told she would never have children naturally and would likely need to either adopt or get a surrogate, since her tubes/uterus were not in "good condition." She is due with her first child, a son, in January

He is growing well and no one has any idea how he even made it into her uterus.
Things have a funny way of happening. Good luck mama!!
