Just curious of other's experiences with cheap HPT. I'm on CD 35 DPO 10 (40 day cycle). I used an $.88 Wal-mart HPT and got a BFN. Should I be disappointed? Did I test too early? Figure I'll wait until I'm late to test again.

I have to say...... I've gotten BFPs on cheapies and expensive ones. I <3 my ICs. 10dpo is too early for some people still, and you could still get a positive if you wait. It's more likely to be accurate the closer you are to when you'd expect to get your period.

I'm thinking you tested to soon. My last pregnancy I only used the ones from the dollar tree and they worked great. The line was a little lighter than on a FR ones but you could tell it was positive. I would give it a few more days to test again.

The only IC's that really work well for me have been the wondfo brand from Amazon. For under $10 you get 50. With that being said at 10dpo it still is really early so don't count yourself out yet

I agree - 10dpo is early, but I've always had good luck with cheap tests as well. I don't typically get a BFP until 11dpo, with the rare exception that I got one the night of 9dpo last cycle. I would say wait a few days and re-test. But I can't take my own advice, so I say just keep testing!

You guys are awesome. I feel a lot better now. I think I'm going to wait until after Thanksgivings, that's if AF doesn't come, before I test again. Just don't want a BFN ruining a day I should be giving thanks for.
