So it is looking like I am going to start right on time. Tomorrow is the day I am suppose to start on my normal 28 day cycle. Today I am starting to spot some with so major cramps. I thought I wouldn't have a normal cycle this round because my miscarriage was right at 9weeks.

Has anyone had a normal AF right after a miscarriage?

If not what was different?

If you were me and everything was looking normal.... would you go ahead and start TTC? Or wait the suggested 2cycle wait?

well this is my first AF post loss (completed naturally) and I think my cycle was extremely normal (~28 days)...only slight difference is that the cramping has been a little worse & a little longer than normal.

You should do whatever you feel is right on timing TTC again...technically you've now been through 1 complete cycle anyway (if you consider it from 0 hcg level = CD1) - did Dr recommend you wait longer?

They suggested I wait 2cycles. I think that is what they tell everyone though. I took a HPT about a week after to make sure it was - and it was.

I agree with Lara you do what you feel comfortable with. That is great that your body is jumping right back to normal. As far as AF mine were always heavier and crampier right after a loss.

I had a normal cycle after my 16 weeks loss but I did wait two cycles only because I decided I wanted to go on a girls trip and I didn't want to be pregnant for it. I am not waiting even 1 cycle after this M/C, just jumping right back in since it was such an early loss (like 4.5 weeks)

So I ditto just doing whatever you feel comfortable with and Im glad your cycle is back to normal! Good luck!

Oh and I will say I couldn't decide if I wanted to wait the recommended 1 cycle after this M/C or just go ahead and try when it dawned on me that I waited 2 cycles after my 16 weeks loss and it still ended up in M/C so in my mind there is no magic time to wait or not wait. Whatever happen will happen and for me personally I would rather just jump right back in since I am emotionally ready. HTH in any way : )

I just waited the one cycle after both of my losses, the first one resulted in my DD, we will see what happens this time. They tell you to wait for a couple of reasons, and this varies from doc to doc - 1. for your uterus lining to strengthen (way I see it, if your body isn't ready, it won't get pg), 2. dating purposes - they can date using u/s, so this is kind of a silly reason Anyways, do what feels best for you, results vary, so it is really more about the emotional healing, I think!

First cycle after m/c was pretty normal. I generally O on CD 17, had delayed O on BFP cycle at CD 22 and first cycle after m/c was CD 24. Confirmed O with temp and opks, so normal in that aspect and LP was 13 days (normal.)
I did have more cramps than normal AF's but the m/c seemed to "reset" my body after BC. Right after BC my periods we really short, light and I didn't shed hardly any lining. Even after 4 cycles off BC they were like that. This AF was the closest to normal that I've had in a long time. The cramping was a little more intense, but nothing to cause concern.
They told me to wait two cycles too, but I think they gave me that as a generalization. I think we are trying this second cycle.

My first AF after my loss at 11 weeks came five days later than normal but was otherwise just like a normal AF. I didn't O again until after that first AF...

This is my first af after my mc and honestly mine has been a lot lighter than it normally is. After my first mc it was heavier so I'm guessing it just varies. We are definitely going to ttc though and excited about it!!! Gl!!!!
