Oh no I'm sorry. I know that has to hurt. I would wait it out if I were you. I would be too nervous to possibly miss O.

Sarah that stinks. I'm hoping that somehow your body ovulates when your dr. is in town. Can another dr. in the practice do the IUI?

Liz~I'm leaning that way too.
Melissa~I'm going to call them tomorrow(they were closed by the time I got the message) and see about that. I know there's one other doctor so maybe they can do that.

Can you try the clomid without the IUI this cycle then do a clomid/iui cycle next month (if you even need it)?
Or can they even do the clomid challenge test for you this cycle to see where your FSH levels fall?

Missy, I thought about doing Clomid and just trying naturally this cycle, but I don't want to waste a round of Clomid...I'm too scared of having my lining thinned out and want to use it for cycles where I do the IUI and have the best chance, if that makes any sense. I did the Clomid challenge test a few months ago and my levels came back awesome...hopefully those things don't change drastically.
How are you and your beautiful Scarlett doing? She is so precious!!

I don't know anything about IUI but just wanted to say Im so sorry your doc won't be in town. Im praying there is someone else in the office than can do it, I know it would suck to wait a month. I hope you figure something out...KUP!

Wow that sucks... I wouldn't want to travel 3hrs each way and pay an additional fees either... The thing that makes it hard is pinpointing when you Ovulate. There's gotta be another Dr to cover yours when they are away for situations like this... I would truck on in that office and ask who's on duty when Dr. so and so is out of town.... If there is a stand in I would continue on your path with IUI...
Good Luck and keep us posted!

Oh what you said makes perfect sense! I didn't know you did the clomid challenge. Congrats on passing it
Isn't the waiting so hard? TTC with medical assistance brings on a whole different level of emotional stress. I had a few melt downs during our treatment time. You can always go to injectibles with IUI if need be. It won't thin out your lining and your chances of getting pregnant are higher. The downside is the cost - I think the meds alone are $2,000... a huge jump from the $20 cost of clomid.
Hang in there sweetie... I have such good feelings about you getting pregnant and having a baby. It is this waiting time that is painful. Scarlett is doing awesome... She is home with Daddy while I am in the hospital and I miss her lots. I can't wait to share this journey with you!!

Well, it looks like the crisis is diverted...for the most part. Judging by when I ovulated the last time when I was on Clomid (5 days after I finished), I will be ovulating on Friday, Dec. 2. I called the doctor's office back and they told me my doctor will be there both that day and Saturday the 3rd. So, if I get a positive OPK then I call and they will do the IUI the next day. The doctor even gave me her cell phone in case it's after hours. The only issue would be if I don't ovulate right around then. I am anticipating a lot of dehydrating myself and peeing on a TON of OPK's in the next couple of weeks! The way I look at it too, if I do the IUI a day or 2 before I ovulate, that's totally fine...in fact, I think I'd have a better shot at pregnancy.
Missy, you are so right...the waiting is the worst! I feel like that's all I ever do anymore! I am so sorry you are stuck in the hospital! I really hope you get better really quickly so you can get home to your family. Scarlett is so beautiful! She looks exactly like you!!

Whew, so glad there is a window of time your doc will be there. I know easier said than done but try not to stress too much because you don't want to cause your body to ovulate later than normal!
Good luck!!
