Hello ladies! I am freaking out right now. I am having a very heavy flow. I never had heavy flows until after I had my IUD took out in May 2011. I had the IUD put in about 2months after I had my daughter in 2009 and my periods before then had always been really light. Now since I have had it removed I have a very heavy AF to the point that the 2nd day of AF I am dizzy and drained. It's still just day 1 of AF and I am shaky and dizzy to the point that I feel like I am going to fall over when I stand or be sick. Idk if I should contact my doctor because my iron has been checked in the past week and was right were it should be. I have called in the past when I noticed how heavy AF was after my IUD was removed and they told me to really not be concerned unless it stayed heavy for more than 3days. My concern is really that I started spotting in my last pregnancy right at 6weeks and it lasted like that until I mc at 9weeks. Idk if that is playing a roll or not.

The rule of thumb my doctor told me was if your bleeding through more than 1 pad an hour to call or get to the ER right away. If your doctor won't see you go to the ER. That can be really dangerous hun. Please KUP!

Katie's advice is exactly the same as the advice my OB gave me. I think you need to get checked out. If your OB won't see you, then head to the ER. You should not be sick and dizzy... something isn't right!

Thanks ladies for the support! Yall are all awesome! I am still feeling dizzy and sick to my stomach today but AF is slowing down some thank goodness. I am going to wait and see how tomorrow goes and if I am still feeling like crap I'm going to call them. They should at least let me know something even if they aren't in.

I would have the doctor check your iron levels. I had really heavy AF cycles for 3-4 months after each of my losses. I had to take some extra iron as I was getting dizzy/weak as well. It is a quick pin prick on the finger and the results are instant.

((Hugs)) I hope you feel better soon.
