3 days ago I started what I think is my AF. I miscarried on October 27th at 6 weeks and the bleeding finally stopped on November 7th. When my "AF" started 3 days ago it was super light, and brown...then yesterday I woke up to a huge mess and was bleeding super heavy all day! Today its pretty normal to what I experienced before I became pregnant this last time. My AF usually only last 4 days and this is lasting longer. I don't know if this is my AF or if it could still be part of my miscarriage...My Dr. isn't in until Monday because of the holiday weekend. Usually my AF starts 24 days from the last day of my last period and this time is started about 24 days from the first day of my miscarriage. I'm so confused as to how to track this and keep track and what is "normal".

I wish I had some answers for you. I would just suggest to track it as you would any other period. You might want to make notes regarding flow. I've heard that our bodies all react differently to miscarriage.

I would imagine it is your period. And unfortunately, you can probably expect the next couple of cycles to be off... like shorter or longer and different periods. I imagine things will be back to normal soon, though.

There is no "normal" for a woman after a miscarriage, so just hang in there.

It's not considered a period until you've had 20 days without any bleeding. And, it could very well still be miscarriage bleeding. Having they been tracking your HCG falling at all? I had 2 bleeding episodes over a month apart, lasting 10 to 14 days each time. The second was not a period. Had I not been having hcg checked at least once a week i would have never known my hcg was high and id have presumed the 2nd bleed was a period (until i passed the placenta on day 13), just a wonky heavy long one. So..umm... it could honestly go either way.

hmmm....November 7th was my last visit and my hcg was 7 and they told me they didn't need to see me again. I may call the Dr tomorrow just in case.

If yours got down that low, you're probably ok...but ya never know. My hcg dipped, and then started rising...and then I bled a second time almost a month later and only then did it finally dip all the way down. Maybe it's just a crazy AF. That does happen. Pregnancy, even if for a short period of time, screws with your body and hormones.
