I was wanting to know if anyone knew if an antihistamine would dry out or alter CM? I am have been taking Benadryl for the past few days to get over the weather shifting so much from warm to cold. The reason I am asking is because I know some people take things like Mucinex to help with CM and Benadryl is the opposite. Odd but I couldn't get the question off my mind since I am a few days from O.

I'm pretty sure any antihistamine or decongestant will dry up your CM, but not sure how it would affect fertility/implantation Hope someone can help!

Yes it can/will dry up CM. However if you need to take it you could counter it with Robitussin or Musinex or try using Preseed

I agree with Katie. It can dry up your cm.

ditto to what Katie said, I was also going to suggest trying to counter with Mucinex or Robitussin and/or using preseed - people that naturally don't have fertile CM or enough of it have success with preseed, so I would imagine it would work the same for you in the case of having taken an anithistamine.

BTW, I hope you are feeling better!

Thanks ladies! I had a feeling it might! I think I'll pick up some Preseed. Before I started taking Benadryl I tried Mucinex and it set me back a few days, so I know I can't try that again.
