I am not sure where the correct place to post this is but does anyone take progesterone after they ovulate? What kind do you take? Currently I am on a progesterone only b-control pill and I am wondering if it’s the same thing as what the Ob gives you if you take progesterone after O time. The stuff I have is called Norethindrone (Nora-B).35M



We are going to start TTC again soon and I was wondering if I could keep taking them as progesterone after I O. I am going to ask my Ob but I wanted to see if it was even possible before asking.

I took progesterone after ovulation - when I was going through IUI treatments it was the vaginal insert gel, after I got pregnant it was the oral pill form.

It is completely different than the birth control pills you are taking now. If you are going to TTC stop taking them all together. If you are concerned about your progesterone levels please call your doctor/obgyn and ask for a prescription.

I'm on prometrium 100mg oral. I start taking the pills 2 days after my positive OPK and am supposed to continue them for 14 days, but my cycle is so short, that I've been starting AF before the 14 days are up, at which point I stop the pills. I agree with the pp. If you are worried about your progesterone levels, talk to your OB about getting a prescription specifically for the time you are TTC.

I agree with Missy! It's completely different than what your taking now hun. I really suggest talking to your doctor.

That is what I thought but I wanted to check..yes I know to talk to my Ob. Thanks!
