So my doc called this evening. My beta hCG was 27, which I know sounds low at first sight. But I was only 11 DPO when it was drawn, so I actually feel okay with that number. She was certainly okay with it.

(On a side note... I Wondfos! They must have picked up my hCG at 20 or less on 9 DPO... can't say the same for FRER).

My progesterone was 17.2, which seems perfectly normal for pregnancy. So I'm feeling pretty good about that too. I know it could be higher, but I was only 3 weeks, 4 days when it was drawn. It should continue to climb over the coming weeks.

Do you girls think that progesterone level sounds good? Be honest. I can take supplements, but I don't want to if I don't need to. On all the charts I've found, that level appears to be okay for the third week of pregnancy.

My doctor wants to wait a week to do the next beta because she thinks it will tell us more... paint a bigger picture. Actually, she doesn't think I need it at all and completely thinks this pregnancy will be wonderful. However, she knows it will ease my mind, so we're doing it. I'll either go in for the beta on Wednesday or Thursday.

What makes me super happy right now, though, is the difference on my FRER from last night at 8pm to this morning at 6am. The lines are definitely getting darker pretty quickly, so I think this will provide me with the reassurance I need until my next beta.

that's great Adrienne and the line comparison couldn't be better...and the progesterone # is perfect - my OB just looks for it to be above 10 - so I don't think you have anything to worry about at 17.2!

Sounds like you're off to a good start. My OB also wants to see 10 or better. Mine was only 12.8 at 15DPO. I only started the progesterone for the "just in case, it can't hurt" reasoning my doctor has.

Ah, thanks! I'll go in for a second beta later this week (Wednesday or Thursday). In the meantime, I'm still testing. And happiness is seeing the test line show up as the liquid moves across the screen, rather than having to wait for five minutes, tilt, and squint.
