I am taking metformin 500 mg daily and have been taking it for the past 20 days now. I have 37 days cycle. I ovulate on December 2 and so it has been 17 days. Today I took pregnancy test and it was negative. I dont have any period or pregnancy symptoms. I am worried if metformin has delayed my cycles.

Metformin should help your cycles regulate. It sounds to me like you actually didn't ovulate. How did you confirm ovulation by OPK? I'm not sure if anyone ever told your or not but if you have PCOS your body always has an abnormal amount of LH in it's system which can cause you to have a false positive OPK. It's always good to back up your OPK with checking your CM or temping. Welcome to TTCAL hun. Please if you have any questions that's what we are here for.

I used Clearblue Fertility Monitor to find out if I am ovulating. I also used Answer One digital to confirm. I feel elevated temps during the time and also see white mucus, when I wipe. Looking at these I feel like I am ovulating.

- This delay in AF is the first and started only after I started taking metformin, so I am wondering if metformin has anything to do with this.

- Also if in case I had a false positive OPK, does that mean that I ovulated on a later date or did not ovulate at all.

What should I talk to doctor about and Thanks for the great support.
