So after m/c my cycles have just been odd and different. That is too be expected I know, but this question is about actual AF after m/c. I am on my 3rd AF after m/c now. Especially the last two cycles I have been noticing some lining that is quite a bit more thick. Not all of it but maybe 5%ish or some that I see on the toilet paper. I've also seen some stringy, white/pinkish "lining." This is all stuff I have never seen before previous to m/c.
So, is this normal? And if so, how long does it go on after m/c. Is this something that should cause me concern or that I need to talk to my OB about? TIA ladies

I had lots of clotting/ thick stuff and extra heavy flow following both of my m/c's. I noticed it especially during my first two AF's post m/c. By the third, things started to get back to normal. I don't remember... are you on progesterone? Because I have noticed that makes my AF's much heavier too. I would mention it to your OB, just so that there is record of it in your chart. Mine chose to do a transvaginal and abdominal u/s to rule out physical reasons for the extra heavy flow. She was concerned about the possibility of a uterine fibroid. $670 out of pocket later, I was told everything looked perfect

I wouldn't say AF is heavy, just average for me. I was not on progesterone. I was thinking that ovarian cysts could be a possibility with all of my symptoms last cycle: had nausea throughout 2WW, lots of dull cramping the whole 2WW, sometimes painful intercourse.
Last cycle around O time I had spotting for like 5 days too.

That would be something I, pesonally, would talk to the doc about. It IS normal to have heavier, irregular, different flows after a miscarriage. But if what is coming out has changed and it is still changed after 3 cycles, I would be concerned about a fibroid or even an incomplete miscarriage. I know there have been women who have gone back months later to find a small area of lining was still maintaining and needed to have a D & C. I hope this is not the case for you. But I do think that this merits a doctor visit to rule out possible issues (especially with your last cycle symptoms). Hope you get it figured out!

My cycles were permanently like that since my first loss. I asked my OB about it and she told me that the miscarriage altered my cycle.... If you think there is something wrong then I would suggest just talking to your doctor about it.

Under most circumstances I do, but with my Navy insurance everything is such a crap shoot. Sometimes you are listened to and other times you are brushed off. I'm just nervous that they will tell me to give it more time since the m/c was 3 months ago. If things keep up though I will def go in.

I had lots of clotting/ thick stuff and extra heavy flow following my m/c for the first 2-3 cycles. And in general I feel "different" during my TWW - more sensetive BBs etc. So it could just be your new normal.

I've only had one AF since my miscarriage, so I might not have real great advice, but my AF was definitely heavier with more clots/tissue this time around.

I hope it's nothing and everything can just get back to normal for you.

Another thing that you could do is if you are due for your annual you could get an appointment for that and bring that up at your appointment.
