I went in at 8:30 this morning for my follow up post menstrual aspiration. I felt really positive as I went into the office since AF came on the 1st and I knew she'd probably give us the green light to go ahead.
Keep in mind it's been over 2.5 months since the loss and I've had NUMEROUS problems with this office. They forgot us in the waiting room the day we lost our angel, they lost my blood after an hcg draw, they didn't let the lidocaine kick in before they started my procedure, and the last time in the nurse had to ask me why I was there and had no idea we'd lost it. (This is a reputable hospital in our area). Soooo today I go in and the receptionist says "since you've had the baby now I have one more form for you to fill out". Are you kidding me right now? Am I being punked? Surely there is a hidden camera somewhere in this office right? To which I calmly replied, "NO we lost it and you all need to update your freaking charts because this is just awkward every time I come in here!"
I mentioned it to the doctor and she was not happy so someone is getting a talking to today. Enough with the complaining though, the good news is we are clear to officially TTC! Woohoo! AF is gone and it's about time some BD'ing starts going on in our house!

Great news that you can get started TTC! Looks like we are pretty close to being cycle buddies I'm a little jealous you get to start BDing, I've still got AF :\

Omg that is horrific! I am so very sorry you had to endure that. Can I ask a question without upsetting you? Is there a reason you aren't changing doctor's offices? I wouldn't be able to still attend that office with that kind of staff personally.
On the happier side Woot! Congrats on the green light. I hope you get your sticky BFP soon!

Ugh... I'm sorry they've been so clueless... it really is unacceptable.
Isn't that after loss stuff fun? I got home one day last week and there was a box of formula sitting on my front step that Similac had sent as a sample/advertisement. I still haven't decided if I'm going to call them and tell them what a bad idea that is...

All these reminders everywhere SUCK. I had the same problem as Becky, getting formula samples all the time, coupons, newsletters, all kinds of crap. I'm sorry you're going through this right now. I'm really excited you got the green-light to go ahead!! I can't wait for this to be your cycle

How awful that a reputable office could be so cruel? After the first time someone should have changed your chart. I hate OB offices to begin with.
Good luck to you guys!

wow Carissa...i think you handled it well and honestly a lot more nicely than I would have. They totally deserved someone having a full scale bawling breakdown in their waiting area and then i bet they'd start reading & updating their charts properly.
Anyway I'm glad you're cleared to TTC immediately! Good luck & tons of BFP dust coming your way!

Thanks Ladies! Yes it is rough when the samples, coupons, magazines, etc start to roll in. I have a stack of stuff I just keep throwing in the nursery hoping one day I'll get some use out of it. We just keep the door shut for the most part. I wish there was an EASY button you could hit and send out a message to everyone to stop sending anything baby related!

I tried to change OB's about a month ago but no one could get me in until February (or so they said). So I decided to stick it out with the current one until everything with the original loss was over. This was my last appointment so I'm happy to say I'll be switching the next time we get out BFP! I have 3 names from friends/co-workers so hopefully one of those will have a spot for me.

I made the same decision about sticking it out with the current OB until a new pregnancy. I hope it won't be long before you get your sticky BFP and that one of the other OBs are able to get you in!
