Well...I said that this month I was gonna do things different..I SAID I was just gonna go with the flow and let nature take its course...but, I ended up going to wal mart tonight so while I was there I picked up a pack of the ovulation predictors and a value pack of HPT. I'll start using them in the morning and just go from there...its sooooo hard not to get all wrapped up inttc, I just want to follow all the rules and make sure I covered all the bases. I'm the type of person who when I want something I want it right now, I can't MAKE my body get pregnant and that drives me crazy, I know I should just get over it, but I'm beginning to think that's impossible....
I've also diagnosed myself....I think I'm most def A.D.D.

And I got a question..I've read alot about dtd during ovulaution and I'm wondering what you think....is it best to do it everyday during your ovulation week or every other day..I can't figure it out...?

lol! I know better than to think I'll be able to go with the flow!

I think that DTD every day during ovulation is okay if your DH generates enough swimmers in time. I think I read it takes about 24 hours to recover enough. I think the every other day method is just to make sure that there are as many healthy swimmers as possible in the semen.

Our plan (well my plan, DH is just going to think I'm really frisky) is to DTD every other day or every two days when I'm not ovulating, and doing it every day during my fertile period.

Well, I've read about it being best to keep a constant new supply of swimmers so it's either that or tell him to have fun by himself sometimes and I'd rather be a part of it.

I don't blame you for buying the pee sticks! I'm a bit of an addict and have around 100 of each OPK and HPT cheapies right now. Even when I was still BFing and not having a cycle I was testing all.the.time. lol You never know right?!?!

I've kinda tries to follow the sperm meets egg plan every time I've gotten pregnant (except for my first pregnancy). It's worked well for me since I've gotten pregnant trying to follow it 3 times. I've never followed it exactly but I think it's a good guide to go by.

Thanks, marilynne! I remember seeing that. It sounds similar to what I plan to do.

DH and I try to do it every other day. His swimmers are fine but when talking to the doctor she said that for most men doing it every day depletes their count.

thanks girls !! We'll see what happens, I had never heard of the sperm meets egg plan...I'm kinda new to all this...when I had my son years ago, it just happened, there was no planning...so I'm still kinda trying to figure it all out cause I thought I was being pretty careful....but oh well, planned or unplanned he's the best thing that ever happened to me
So I think I'll try out the sperm meets egg plan...can't hurt nothin

We did the every other day DTD during the ENTIRE cycle, minus when I had AF. That was what the doc recommended, she said, every day can make you both tired, which can make you not want to DTD at all...lol! Plus, she said, it can be a waste, it's good to let the swimmers regenerate for that extra day in between...haha! GL! Hope the sperm meets egg plan works, I had never heard of that either!

We were told every other day from O-4, 0-2, O then O+2 by our RE.

So that's 4 days from O, 2 days from 0, Day of O then 2 days after O. This was for couples with normal fertility and he swears it's highly effective.
