Hi ladies. Has anyone else struggled with body image following m/c? I've actually lost almost 50lbs because of going gluten-free (and I'm sure some stress ). But when people tell me I look good or comment, I get sad. All I can think about is how I should look 8months pregnant right now. It really hurts me. It's also hard to buy clothes because I feel like my body looks gross ... Almost broken or something. Anyone else?

I'm sorry you're not able to enjoy your weight loss. It sounds like you should be very proud of yourself.

I haven't lost or gained weight, but I do know what you mean about feeling like your body should look different and be pregnant.

I know it's hard. For me it's opposite. I've gained weight since my losses and it's hard.

I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling. I sometimes get that feeling..that I should have a bigger belly...that I should not be wearing the same jeans I was wearing 4 months ago. It certainly hurts.

I know what you mean. It was my first pregnancy (and only so far) and I had great abs before. I've lost some weight since my pregnancy but, since I was in the 2nd trimester by the time of the loss, I still ended up with a little of that post-pregnancy lower belly (just along the jean line) pudge and it reminds me constantly of what things should be like. I've definitely gone through days when I just hate my body.

Of course, for me, I should be past the pregnancy and holding a five month old right now. It just sucks all around.
