I've looked all over and couldn't find any info on google, so I have some questions... Made it to 5 1/2 weeks. I've had 2 early losses before, on the previous AF started before my first appts they were pretty heavy and confirmed through BW that everything was gone. This time it's taking so much longer. BW has slowly gone down, only spotting. I've only needed to use panty liners at the very most- sorry TMI. Labs from monday hcg was still a little over 5, maybe 7 I think?? I've had some pretty bad cramping and just wandering if anyone else had to wait it out, or if it was just less than my previous had been which seems weird. Any thoughts?? Thank you so much

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for your losses! I can't really answer your questions, but just wanted to say I am glad you found your way here, these ladies are great!

I would guess that it is just that our bodies react differently every time, although you had quick "0's" before, doesn't mean that that would have happened this time. I am not sure how long my numbers took to "0" because I didn't have the bloodwork, I just took an HPT a couple of weeks later to ensure that it was negative, which doesn't mean that it was down to "0". Anyways, hopefully someone else can help you better.

I'm so sorry you've gone through this so many times. I don't have any answers, but I hope you get down to 0 quicker now.

i'm very sorry for your loss

when you say it's taking a lot longer than prior losses, how many days has your loss spanned? With my latest loss, we had a very drawn out process to actually confirm the loss was happening (multiple weeks) and I think the actually loss & getting down to a 0 hcg result took another week or so. My highest level hcg result was around 3700 i think, and growth stopped around 6wks although I didn't miscarry until closer to 9wks.

At a hcg level of 7, I would think you should be below their threshhold for pregnant (usually a 5 or less) pretty soon. I'm sorry it's taken a long time for you...there is a lot of relief just when the process is over and you're on to a new cycle with fresh hope. HUGS

I am very sorry for your losses. With each of my losses it has been different. Some my levels dropped quickly and my body reacted quickly and other my body wasn't on the same page and my levels took a long time to drop and my body took awhile to get back to "normal". If your numbers are at 7 or 5 then your almost there. Anything below 5 is considered negative.

I've also had three losses, each one was soooo different. I don't think there is ever a "normal" for losses Whatever is going on, I hope it is over soon.

Thank you ladies I guess i just assumed since my levels are going down I would have thought I would be full blown AF. But is still nothing more than minor spotting and major back cramps. No more preggo symptoms, but I feel like it would help if I'd be making some progress down south. I'm waiting on the doc results from u/s hopefully they can tell me what's up, I just feel like its weird to not bleed and worries me about possible ectopic?

Sorry for your loss hun..I have had 5 mc three i had to have dnc for and the others just happend unexpectantly. The last one only took a week for my levels to reach 0 but i think the further along you are when the loss happens the longer it takes for your levels to go down, well maybe its just the way my body works. Ill say a prayer for you hun.

If you haven't had any actual bleeding it sounds like you didn't actually pass the embryo/sac yet. If it doesn't start soon, it wouldn't be a bad idea to ask for an ultrasound to check things out. Sorry for your loss

I would say the same thing. Did you have an u/s? Did it show a sac? The reason I ask is because my second m/c was a chemical pregnancy, and there was far less bleeding with that one than with my pregnancy that had implanted normally. Good luck to you, and I am so very sorry for your losses.
