My RE called and said DH's results are consistent with a prostate infection. Hubbs will be starting an antibiotic tomorrow (for 2 weeks) and getting a repeat SA in a month. He's also going to bring his results to the urologist and see if there are other things his doc would like to check, but my RE thinks the big problem is the infection. He said that the low count is the only thing that's not consistent, and that while it is low, it's not necessarily critically low (11m), especially if DH has gotten me pregnant. He said he almost straight up doesn't believe these results are accurate, but no matter what, we need to get rid of the infection, so we'll start with meds since they can't really do any harm anyway.
I'm also going to have him use L-Carnitine for his count
Thanks for being here for me while I freak out

I hope the antibiotics take care of everything. I'm glad your RE didn't believe the results were reliable either and is going to help you get to the bottom of the matter.

Well, that's good news, right?! It's "only" a prostate infection... LOL I'm really glad that they think the results were inaccurate. Hopefully he'll have awesome results after finishing the antibiotics

Erin -
When we went to the RE's office the first thing they did was put us both on antibiotics. I will look up the exact terminology if you want me to but basically the RE said there is a certain bacteria that can live in our bodies and prevent us from getting pregnant/prevent sperm from thriving. It isn't a bacteria that makes us sick so we would not really even know if we had it.
I hope this dose of antibiotics (and some good rolling in bed) is all you need. Thinking of you every day. xoxoxo
