This is off topic and going to be very long, but my children really need some prayers today and I don't know where else to turn to.
My ex husbands grandmother (Nancy) has been sick and in the hospital for a couple of weeks. We knew the end would be near. Last night at the hospital, Nancy's daughter Tracy wasn't feeling well, and everyone assumed that she was sick because of the lack of sleep and not eating right, so they sent her home. Nancy was alert at that time. She say goodbye, telling Tracy "I want you to know that I love you. I don't know if I will still be here when you come back tomorrow, and that is okay. Know that it's okay. I love you. Go home and take care of yourself." Tracy left with her daughter Stacy. Less an hour later Nancy had slipped into a coma. The family was just getting ready to call and update the two girls when Stacy called to tell the family that the emergency squad had just picked Tracy up. She collapsed and she was not breathing and had no pulse.
At the small local hospital they used a defib to shock Tracy's heart, inserted a breathing tube and sent her to the trauma hospital in Morgantown. Nancy was in the other hospital in Morgantown. At shortly after two this morning Nancy passed away. At shortly after 10 this morning they turned off Tracy's life support.
At shortly after 11 am this morning my father-in-law stopped by to let my husband know that they don't believe we have long with his grandfather. My kids have to deal with two deaths on their father's side in less than 12 hours, and now have the potential of a death on their step-dad's side (who has been in their life longer than their father was) looming over them. It's been a nightmare of a day already and has the potential to get much worse. Pleas say a prayer for these kids. I don't know how much more they can take.
